Read moreUpdate to the review below: the only critique I have is that the premises need some work. It's a tad chilly inside and the interior could use painting, updated decorations, the service area in the back should be attended to (a curtain put up?). In general, the atmosphere could use a little warming up a bit. Add hot coffee to the menu and of course beer/wine, and I would expect the place to suddenly be hopping.
Very nice Thai food, with some Chinese / Chinese-American & Vietnamese (pho) entries. Had a great vegetarian curry with coconut sauce: it was extremely flavorful, all the vegetables cooked to perfection, just slightly crunchy. If you like sweet and sour, this is the place for you, too, lots of vegetables, pineapple, a good sauce that isn't overly syrupy, more tomato-ey. Lots of options for meats or you can get with just veggies or tofu. Scrumptuous Pad Thai (the curry can be spicy hot as it should be so let your server know what you want). All the classics are there, too Masaman, Tom yum, etc. Excellent tapioca dessert & I've heard the mango is great. I tried the Tom Khaa soup (coconut milk rather than tomato based like the other Tom soup) ...with tofu, it has a sweetness and very good flavor. Quiet, clean, pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service. No alcohol yet, but I hear they may have a license soon. A fantastic find. UPDATE: the interior could use a facelift! A little paint, covering up the equipment in the back, cleaning and changing the decorations could...

I visited first time and was blown away by their pad Thai. It’s now replaced a place in auburn hills as my favourite. Best I’ve had in Michigan, by a big step. It’s saucy, a little sweet - the only thing it’s missing is the flavour from being cooked in an alley in Bangkok. I had them make it with beef and added vegetables, and there was a nice chunk of fresh veg in there. For lunch, it’s only ten bucks! I didn’t write a review because I wanted another visit.
Tonight, we had catfish pad pak, apple salad, swimming duck, and som tam. It was all equally as good. And want it hot? They’ll make it hot. The only thing not good tonight was the spring rolls - it was basically lettuce in rice paper wrapper. However, the coconut hoisin sauce was out of this world, so I guess it balanced it out? Usually there’s some tofu or shrimp or something in there, but not tonight. I guess I should have read the description more carefully!
They’re sweet and lovely people. And they make fantastic food. Their decor is sparse, so I’m not inclined to eat in - but damn, I’ve found a new best...
