My family was invited to a birthday party. Upon arriving one of my daughters needed shoes. Shoe rental was $3 and each game bowled was $4. I've been to multiple other bowling alleys in the past 3 months and I've never had to pay that much for shoe rental.
Then, another family arrived not in our party, and they assigned them a lane directly in the middle of the lanes the party was on. While we didn't mind it was a bit awkward for the other family. And there were a ton of open lanes....but yet it was a good idea to put them directly in the middle of our party??
We asked when the kitchen opened and were told not until 6pm. When it was 6, we asked again and were told not until 7:30pm. I felt as if they didn't want our party of 25 there. Do they not realize a group of that many people would easily have dropped a couple hundred on food and drinks? I want to support local small businesses but when I'm treated like this I just can't. I know the lady at the front desk was one of the owners, but her attitude was even worse. She was the one that gave off the vibe that she didn't want us there.
I grew up not far from this bowling alley. We were in there alot! The staff used to be nice and helpful! I've even bought bowling balls from the pro shop multiple times in the past. I used to enjoy my time spent there.
Now they are rude and accusatory. One of the lanes we were on kept getting a ball stuck. When we told the gentleman at the front desk the ball was stuck for the 4th time that night he claimed that the last time we told him there was no ball stuck (even though there was because we couldn't play until the ball was returned).
My suggestion is to skip this one and find another bowling alley. Or, teach the staff how to be kind and helpful....if that's possible. It starts from the...
Read moreThe most unprofessional bowling alley I have ever been to. I called ahead of time because it was already pretty late on a Saturday night and I wanted to be sure there were open lanes before I headed in that direction. The man who answered the phone said they closed at 1 and I had asked them if they were full and he said yes. So I asked how long would the wait be and he told me there is no wait to come on in. The bowling alley was only 2 miles from Frickers in Troy Ohio so it did not take but only 5 minutes to get there. We walk in and the Owner tells us that there are no lanes open because they do unlimited bowling from 10-1AM so we would not be able to bowl. I then told him we had just called a few minutes before showing up and the guy said there would be no wait? He tells me " Well, I haven't heard the phone ring and no ones else has answered the phone so do you have the phone that I can see that has the number (he then spouts off the phone number)." So I pull my phone out and show him and he says "Oh okay, well I don't know let me ask around." He asks around and of course NO ONE owns up to answering the phone and giving inaccurate information. He then tells us "I'm sorry guys, I can put you on the list for next Saturday Bowl?" Nothing about hey I am very sorry here is free bowl the next time you come in. To me, it was pointless to prove anything and for him to ask around becasue all he did was just say sorry. ALSO why would an OWNER tell a customer that they were lying about calling? He will never get any business from us. Worst bowling alley in the area and very...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to go on a date night and I shouldâve known better after the last time we went with my family the lane kept messing up and freezing on us and waited on our pizza for a long time. We decided to try again because it was convenient and thought it would be cheap⌠they seem rude and have an attitude. The guy is just on his phone the whole time at the counter. We ordered pizza right when we got there and we didnât get it until we were doing our last game which is crazy there wasnât much people there(no wonder)We noticed the group of people beside us got like 3 or 4 pizzas before us and they got there way after us and one of the guys with them definitely works there or something. A lady that was with them was wearing heels while bowlingđłChecked on the pizza he said it was in the oven and brought that group another one after asking about ours. We finally got it on our last game and it was so hot in there we left half way through the game and took the pizza home. So go the extra minutes for better customer service, I...
