Hobart Urban Nature Preserve — Attraction in Troy

I love walking here. We live close now but it’s very easy to get to as long as you know where it is. A little oasis of quiet. You’re likely to come upon deer, possum, foxes, and be mindful we’ve seen skunks too. Also always, always check yourself for ticks. There are Bathrooms in Menke Park but they aren’t always open and there is a porta potty not far from the parking lot that is always open. This is a nice park with a nice walking trail. There is solid pavement with tables and I saw a playground for kids. The trail is made of tiny pebbles but not so deep you cant push a stroller. My sister push her kid through without much struggle. They have art from Hobart and the pieces have a fun bits of info about them. Its tucked away in the middle of Troy so you dont have to go far. The family and I always have a blast here. There's so many deer and rabbits and you can normally get pretty close to them before they start walking away from you. My kids had never seen deer this close before now and they loved it.
