I will never go to this Ulta again! I went there to exchange two items… and it was a nightmare. When it was my turn to check out, one of the retail managers on duty was flustered and very short ( there were only two customers in line , so I’m confused as to why she was so flustered.) I told her that I wanted to exchange some items that didn’t work out for me for new products. I waited 10 minutes for her to play around on the register. It was clear that she had no idea what she was doing… but I was patient. Finally she told me that she could not do an exchange, she could only return the items and start a new transaction. I asked her why and she stated that her manager told her that no exchanges could be made, and that Ulta does not process exchanges. Before I could make a decision about what I wanted to do , she processed the return. Little did she know, I worked at an Ulta before . I asked her to call someone to assist. She got an attitude and said that the other manager was gone. The young lady on the register next to her ( whom she was soooo rude to) told her that the other manager was there. She called her and she came to the cash wrap area rude as ever. She said that “Virginia,” who is their manager, told them that no exchanges could be made. It was very frustrating because either one of them made any type of effort to remedy the situation. Both were extremely rude. After going back and forth, the manager stated that “I could go somewhere else,” to return my other item.” I told her that she would in-fact process my other return. After processing my return, both managers walked off. How disgusting! This store forfeited a $300 sale because they could not own up to the fact that they were CLUELESS! Individuals like this should NOT be in any type of management role, or any type of retail setting. The lack of patience, rudeness, and laziness is unacceptable. If I could give this team a -100 stars, I would. I spend a lot of money with this company, and have done so for years. I was disappointed that no one could help. It disappointed me even more to see how mean this lady was treating the other young lady next to her. If I had to work with someone like her, I would probably dread going to work every day. Old women who are stuck in their ways and do not desire to grow should not work in this type of environment. Do not go to this location. The drive to Montgomery is well worth it ! Whatever you do, don’t check out with retail manager with the overteased hair....
Read moreThe first few times I went to Ulta, when it was new, I had a fabulous experience. The third time I went, I needed a few things but went in with an open mind and intention to shop and spend money there. I was followed around the store the entire time I was shopping after telling them I did not need any help multiple times…. as if I was going to slip something into the pockets of my leggings (I did not have a purse and was wearing a tighter fitted shirt… which any item would’ve been clearly visible through my clothing). Every timed I turned my back to walk up a different aisle, a salesperson was standing there behind me, pretending to fix labels or whatever she wanted to falsely do. I believe I stated that I did not need any help at least 8 different times. I then noticed the manager making direct eye contact with me multiple times trying to catch me stealing. I finally let them know that I was very uncomfortable being followed around the entire store and I left. I then proceeded to drive to Dothan and spent almost $600 in their store which was entirely worth it. They were amazing, helpful, and did not have the slightest bit of untrustworthiness with me. It’s not like any Ulta can’t pull up cameras…….. anywhere in the store. If there are a few, inexpensive things I need, I will place an online order and pick up my items in store. Every time I have been in, the manager, with dark hair, always seems so miserable and acts as if her customers are a complete inconvenience to her. My advice to Ulta in Troy is.. not everyone is going to steal and they WANT to support their local businesses, however, they should not be treated this way. They have lost a lot of my business and a good amount of money from me. I dread walking in there if I have something last minute I need to get. No other Ulta around treats their customers like this, none of them. I would like to say that there are MANY, GREAT employees, most likely working through college and I hope they know they deserve better and this Ulta job is not forever, they are meant...
