If you need a tire repaired while traveling south of Waco on US-35 get your tires repaired somewhere else, because it could cost you a new tire
We got a flat from a small nail and made the mistake of getting it repaired at Youngblood tire. The reason it was a mistake is because it went flat again after driving 400 miles to Alamo TX. After taking our tire to a local tire center we learned that our tire was leaking through the patch that Youngblood tire had done, so we contacted Youngblood Tire asking for credit for their $25 repair and never received a call back from that call or the following 2 calls .In all we took our tire to 3 different tire shops and every shop told us that our tire was leaking through a botched patch and that they couldnât repair it and that it should be replaced. I googled "can you repair a tire leaking from a patch" and found âNEVER repair a tire that has an existing, improper repair; the tire must be scrappedâ I called them after never receiving a call back from the previous calls my wife had made and did get to talk with the Manager. Joseph told me that they didnât not warranty a tire repair and they wouldnât give me credit for their repair or replace my tire that was only 2 months old. So, our only option was to replace our tire at a cost of $252, which we just did. The attached pictures show our tire and batched patch with the plug pushed through the patch.
In response to whoever responded to my review. 1st the tire repair was botched because it was leaking through the patch. We took it to COSTCO and they told us that road hazard coverage wouldn't cover our tire because they didn't do the repair. They told us that a patched tire couldn't be repaired because the patch couldn't be removed without damaging the tire. I didn't take a picture of the patch when it was at Costco, but did take it to an independent shop and they would attempt a repair either. We finally took it to a local Mexican tire shop that must have attempted to repair the tire but it still has had slow leak and that is when we went back to COSTCO to replace the tire. My wife made 3 calls to your business each time asking for a callback but we never received a callback. When I called I did speak with the manager and he told me that they didn't warrantee tire repairs. I would never have needed to call if we'd received a callback and credit for the repair but that never happened. I don't doubt that you can typically patch a tire but unfortunately that wasn't the...
Read moreI picked up an old motorhome (with really old tires) in Waco and set out for a nearly 3 hour journey home, blew out one rear tire and when I stopped to check saw another had started to split in the sidewall, managed to limp it about 10 miles when just as I was about to pass this exit I saw this big sign that said truck tires. As I pulled in the place looked kind of busy and short staffed but it was good to be off the highway. Sadly they didn't have the correct size tire for that 30 year old rig and what they did have that would have worked was out of my budget, but Laurie directed me to a salvage yard not too far away where I got lucky and got a deal on some good used tires that would work to get me to the house which was still 2.5 hours away. I got back with the tires and Bill had already started removing the wheels from one side, and he earned his pay that day. It was a warm steamy day and he was out there by himself plugging away to get these used tires from a junkyard on my rig. And once it was ready to roll I went in to settle up with Laurie and was amazed at how well I was treated with the bill. These folks are amazing and I left there with the feeling I hadn't left as a customer but as a friend. If I ever get back that way again I'll take some BBQ or something for lunch, not may take pity on an old guy driving a huge rolling pile of scrap metal with trim falling off (thanks again for the duct tape) but these guys made me...
Read moreI cannot begin to tell you just how much I adore this company! They saved me BIG TIME last weekend. My 4 year old son and I were half way on our trip from DFW to Austin, when my car completely started having a "meltdown" (my terms.. I know nothing about car lingo!) I'm a single momma and had no family or friends anywhere near by. In my panic, I thankfully found Youngblood Auto and made it to them about 3:30pm on a Friday. We were greeted so warmly and welcomed! I felt safe with them immediately! They called in their lead guy and all went to work... it was A LOT of work! I believe they finished around 7-8pm! Again.. this was on a Friday! We played with the super sweet office manager and watched "our girl" (my car) get sorted out. I cannot begin to THANK EVERYONE here enough! From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU ALL. You didn't have to save me that day, you didn't have to work all evening... etc. but you did and it meant the WORLD to Renner and I. We go to Austin regularly, so expect to see us again! This next time with treats :) All our love,...
