Zain Boutique — Local services in Troy

Seeing the reviews made me wary of this place. But I needed a dress for my sisters wedding and this was my last hope.

Customer service wasn't horrible like the pass reviews. They're not the type that ask so many questions about what you need and follow you around the store. They let me take my time browsing and was really nice about letting me take a picture of a dress for my mom since she wasn't with me. (Rules: no pictures but if you ask nicely the owner might say yes). I did wish the sales lady would help pull more styles for me, so I didn't have to go though every dress to see if it came in my size or not but in the end I did find the perfect dress. The owner cashed me out and was really nice. Definitely will buy again from this store.

PROS: Beautiful formal wear not you overly bedazzle prom-ish type dress. Prices are listed on each dress and available sizes it comes in. (Dresses are expensive so don't get sticker shock) The staff were nice and answered any questions I had. Didn't feel pressure to buy anything.

CONS: They can't order a dress in a different size. Limited on sizes per dress. (one dress might only come in size 2,4,8. And another dress only size 12 & 16). Dresses aren't organize by style or anything particular, so you have to go through the whole selection to find...

I came in with my mom that was looking to purchase a gown for my brother's wedding. My mother was browsing and then we were approached by a man that may have been the owner. Asked my mom what she was looking for and she showed him the look she was going for. He proceeded to tell her that she couldn't look and that she required an appointment. And they only appointment he had was in the next couple weeks. My mom asked him if she could look around to get an idea of what they might have. He was so rude and abruptly stopped her and told her no she couldn't and made her very uncomfortable putting his hand up as if she was invading his store. Then told her the gown she was looking for was 1600 dollars and up and practically made her feel like she wasn't worth his time. We know many people that have shopped at the store and never required an appointment. We will be telling all our friends and family to never shop at the store again.
