I arrived on a Tuesday at exactly noon. I was the first one in and I ordered the Philly cheesesteak. She told me about 20 minutes and it will be ready. Now I was Super excited to try this restaurant because of a professional eater I seen on YouTube. I’m not sure if it was because he was a professional eater that the cheesesteak was so different or if the restaurant was just trying to look at the best it could in the video. So I got my order after 33 minutes of standing in the lobby. Multiple people ordered after me and they got their orders before me which I didn’t understand but I was OK with. So I opened the Styrofoam lid and the first thing I noticed was the size. It was nowhere near the size that the professional eater got. The bread did not look fresh and crunchy like it did for the professional eater. Since the restaurant just opened at noon and they specifically said in the professional eater’s video that the bread comes in daily, this bread did not come in daily because it was far from being fresh. So that was disappointing but I was looking forward to the steak. The steak was highly seasoned and had a charred taste to it and there was barely any cheese and very spicy. It was also very oily like they put a sauce on it. Now I’ve had cheesesteaks before but I’ve never had one that was this spicy. The fries were the worst part it was almost like they were microwaved. They were absolutely not fresh nor were they crunchy. They were seasoned but they were very soggy. I admit I had super high expectations because of the video that I watched and I understand that the restaurant probably used the freshest bread and the freshest meats and overdid it on the cheese and went out of their way to make it look really really good and larger than normal but I was very disappointed. The cheesesteak wasn’t bad but the expectations did not live up to the video and unfortunately I won’t be back.

No consistency. When I was in NYC, every halal platter was the same and absolutely delicious. NYC halal in Troy is terribly inconsistent. Appetizers to platters to everything! I ordered mozzarella one time last month and they were fresh and it felt hand battered and fried! And I was amazed by the quality. Now 2 days ago ordered the same 6 dollar mozzarella sticks and im so excited to eat one in the car and they were frozen mozzarella sticks you can get from a dollar store. Oh no. Ok on to the chicken platter, if you are going to sell "NYC halal" platter, you need to have this one aced right? No. Absolutely not. I opened the box and it all looks OK until I saw the chicken which was fried chicken they cut up and put in there. Usually you're supposed to put a note on the item or put the item out of stock if you don't have the item you are selling. It was stale fried tenders that I can guarantee we're from a previous order that maybe didn't pick up. My love for NYC halal is gone now. I don't want to be a Karen about this restaurant, but I had such high hopes for this restaurant when it first opened and I was proud that it survived thru rona. I really hope something changes because this place is so convenient and i know the potential is there 20% of the time, maybe if i can get a schedule of when the good food is being served?! Lol. I am just disappointed that I really don't know what I will get after I leave this restaurant. If you do order from here, open your carry out before you leave and return it if it isn't what you ordered.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at NYC Halal Eats, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The delectable flavors, impeccable service, and particularly the outstanding efforts of Hana, our server, truly made our visit an unforgettable experience.

From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. The ambiance was inviting, with a vibrant and cozy atmosphere that immediately made us feel welcome. The staff's attention to detail was evident, and we were promptly seated at a clean and well-arranged table.

The menu at NYC Halal Eats is a true gastronomic adventure, offering a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes that cater to all tastes and preferences. The quality of the food was exceptional, and each dish was prepared with precision and care. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, there is an array of options to satisfy every palate.

Now, let's talk about Hana—the star of the evening! Hana's service was simply outstanding. She went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was flawless. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she patiently answered all our questions, guiding us through the extensive selection of dishes. To be honest she made this restaurant seem like a 10 star but unfortunately the rating only goes to 5.

Hana's attention to detail was remarkable. She ensured that our drinks were always filled, and our plates were cleared promptly. Her warm and friendly demeanor made us feel like valued guests, and she effortlessly created a pleasant and engaging atmosphere throughout our meal.

Moreover, Hana's recommendations were spot-on. She intuitively understood our preferences and tailored her suggestions accordingly, resulting in a truly memorable culinary adventure. Her passion for the food and dedication to customer satisfaction were evident in every interaction.

Overall, NYC Halal Eats exceeded our expectations on every level. The exceptional food, inviting ambiance, and, most importantly, the outstanding service provided by Hana made our visit truly remarkable. Without a doubt, she deserves a raise for her exemplary efforts in ensuring that guests have an extraordinary dining experience.

🍽️ NYC Halal Eats, Troy: 👍 👍 👍 👎👎

Experience Halal Flavors at NYC Halal Eats in Troy, where the food received mixed reviews based on delivery experience.

FOOD QUALITY👍: The food tasted okay, but unfortunately, the delivery experience affected the overall enjoyment. The fries became soggy, and the food didn’t maintain its intended texture due to packaging issues.

SERVICE & HOSPITALITY👎: The service, particularly with the delivery, was disappointing. The food was mixed up in the box, and the packaging was inadequate, causing the food to arrive flipped and not properly organized.

AMBIENCE & SETTING👍: The restaurant itself, while not reviewed in-depth here, likely offers a decent atmosphere. However, the main issue was with the delivery experience, which isn’t reflective of the in-house dining experience.

VALUE FOR MONEY👎: Given the issues with food quality and delivery, the value for money was not up to par. The price did not justify the disappointing presentation and packaging, especially considering that some food items arrived in less-than-ideal condition.

LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY👍: Conveniently located in Troy, NYC Halal Eats is easily accessible, making it a good choice for those in the area looking for Halal options. However, the packaging and delivery experience need significant improvement to match the convenience.

In summary, while NYC Halal Eats in Troy offers okay-tasting food, the poor delivery service, inadequate packaging, and soggy fries make it less than ideal for takeout. Improvements in packaging and service could enhance the overall experience and make it a more...
