Placed a take out order ..after several times of trying to call and get through to someone. The call was choppy the person on the other end keep coming in and out and was very static sounding.

Once I started ordering my items ..I asked if they had a certain item I didn't see on there menu while speaking in spanish it's a traditional item in spanish cuisine.. and her response to me was WHAT?! As if she'd never heard of this or didn't understand my speaking spanish to her. I only assumed it's a spanish restaurant there gonna speak spanish. Was really odd for me. Guess this place isn't as authentic as I thought!

When placing the rest of my order the person on the other end had a bit of an attitude. I tried my best to be polite. If my daughter wasn't so adamant over eating spanish food I would have just hung up and not ordered anything at all. Kinda ridiculous to treat customers like that. Your business relys on good customer service, good tasting food, and making a customer want to come back. And spreading word of mouth advertising after trying your place out.

Whoever the owner is of this place they should have a word with there managers to train there staff to be kinder to patrons.

Food was decent. However again with authenticity.. we ordered guacamole. And got smashed avacados with no flavor with nothing but just that ..smashed avacados. Where's the flavor? Looked like mushed up baby food.

I also caught an error in my order and called literally a minute..or two max later.. and the second girl who answered gave me an attitude as well. Saying no it's to late to change there already working on my order! Then it sounds like she was covering the phone and passed me over to a second female. What to my surprise an attitude from her too.

I will stick to the place we go to in Pontiac. They know how to make guacamole! And there plantains are...

Man, I don't get the high ratings for this place. I walk in (summertime) and there were no customers. There was no AC or it was barely on while 85 out. Three of the five tables hadn't been cleaned off i.e. styro cups, food baskets, used napkins, opened soda bottles and there was visible bits of food under one of the tables. Makes you wonder when it's dead and they can't take the time to clear/clean the tables how aware (or oblivious) they are to healthy food prep standards. Bad first impression. Also the menu was not very easy to undestand for those that don't speak Spanish. Same goes for the lady that took my order. Ordered two tacos which, as another reviewer said, the salsa was too salty and not much else for flavor. Also tried some chicken w/ mole which wasn't very good and yes I've had mole before. Another thing is I watched the lady start to clean the tables after placing my order and then switch back to helping w/putting together my order and no hand washing between the two. I forsee some Oakland Co Health Dept violations in the future. Won't...

I used to come here whenever I could because it was my favorite place to eat everything was great. You used to be able to walk in sit down and they would come give you complimentary chips and salsa and take your order. Now you have to order your food as soon as you walk in and pay for it while they ask for a tip and they do not serve you. You have to now pay for any chips or salsa you want. When we got the chips they were almost brown(over cooked) and the salsa did not taste that great. When we got our food the tortilla for the burrito was burned, the meat inside was burnt, and there was a big hole in the side of it. Barely any cheese or sour cream at all. I should’ve taken pictures but I just knew I was never coming back so I didn’t think to. No music playing no good atmosphere and they just bring the food out drop it on the table and don’t speak to you. If you drink your pop you ordered and want another you will have to go back up to the counter and ask for another pay for it and then sit back...

I believe everyone has their own spin on what makes a restaurant memorable. While I enjoy a wide range of eateries it’s the grounded, closer to homemade, street influenced foods that influences me the most, because they feel more authentic. It represent community and lifestyle in a way, whereas fusion is more experimental (still high on my list). I’ve been very fortunate to have traveled the world for work and personal, sharing tables with locals and attempting to immerse as much as possible and sample the culture. IMHO Oaxaca reflects the original intent. It reminded me of my years spent in Texas, time with friends from across the border. This food feels different than the average Mexican restaurant and even different than that which you’d find in Mexican resort areas. It’s simple, a low ingredient food count, just made great. Check out their Orchata too…wow. Anyways that’s my 2 cents. I think it’s worth a visit.

Eh, I can see how some people love this place. I can say, they give you a ton of meat in the tacos and burrito. I eat chicken and got 2 tacos and the burrito. Both are all white meat, which I prefer. They both apparently have a Chipotle pepper sauce cooked in or on top of the chicken. I do not like Chipotle at all, so I was disappointed big time. The salsa has a different taste to it. It wasn't really bright red with a fresh tomato taste, which is what I like. It had more of a brown hue to it and less of a tomato flavor. Not my favorite. I will not go back, but only because these flavors are not what I like. It's just a matter of personal preference here. Since so many people seem to love it, I'd say still try it.
