Over priced, marginal quality, but has everything you need to practice by yourself.
The driving range is overall good; balls are old, nice grass area in summer, heated/covered stalls for winter, and the island green is a fun target. But a large bucket is +$3 higher vs everyone else.
Putting green is meh; flat, slow, hairy, and has dead spots.
Chipping green is small and in worse shape than the putting green; you can't chip more than 2 yards off the small green so you are limited in what shots you can practice.
Bunker area is nice; synthetic turf green you hit onto and a net that catches skulled shots.
Pitching area is useless because you're not allowed to retrieve your balls.
Putt Putt is fun; conditions vary; You can get a beer and it shaded in trees. It can get busy and slow but its cool.
Instruction is bad; I've had a lesson with Garret and listened to him teach others; waste of time and money; no launch monitor or video review.
Grill is nice; decent food and decent prices; nice people; they do have a bucket meal deal that moves the bucket price down from overpriced to normal.
Bathroom is gross and needs a remodel
You're not allowed to coach your friends there. So weird! Garret kicked me out for helping my friend and his step mom. He seems to think I'm a PGA teaching professional stealing his business despite my protests. lol. This is actively hindering growing the game golf.
End of the day; it's overpriced, mediocre condition, but has everything you need to practice...
Read moreOther than the very friendly staff, this place was a complete waste of time. I came here to see if I could find another decent driving range as I typically go to Red Tail Golf Center.
The driving range was adequate in size, but the upkeep and appearance was not great. In addition to the artificial turf covered spots, there is a grass area you can hit from, but you have to pay a few bucks more per bucket…lame.
There is a practice putting green and chipping area, but the green was covered with debris from the surrounding trees and had many bumps and bare spots.
Some stogie-smoking guy was using an entire bucket of balls in the chipping area and gave me the look like “Piss off, I’m using this area”, what a joke.
I discovered a practice bunker hidden behind the chipping area…however upon viewing it I wish I hadn’t discovered it.
The bunker had tree debris and garbage in it. There is a net you hit into out of the bunker, but the net was ripped in spots and had holes everywhere. I lost two balls in the trees due to the damaged net.
I was very disappointed in this facility. I hope they fix these issues.
I’ll stick to Red Tail and Meriwether National GC for my practice...
Read moreI'm a sucker for mini-golf, but when there's one out in Tualatin that has courses based on famous golf courses, you bet I'll be there!
So, my husband and I drove an hour to the golf club and were amazed at how well-maintained the property was. We went on a Friday late morning, and the parking lot was a little full, but not overcrowded. The staff members were welcoming, and since it was our first time there, they showed us where to go for the courses.
When I found out it was only $6 per person, I couldn't believe it! That's the best pricing I've ever had for 18 rounds of mini-golf.
Mind you, these aren't your normal spinning lighthouses or a hippo with its mouth open. These are famous golf courses that have shrunk to, well, mini-sized. I'd suggest these courses are more of a medium level of difficulty. The courses are well-maintained and clean, and you understand where to go. There are benches around to kick back and view the scenery. It's quiet and peaceful.
I will commute that hour to come out here more often. I highly recommend it! Tualatin Island Greens will be added to my list of activities to have...
