I'm a native Tulsan over 60, so I'm well acquainted with the Circle. I won't bore you with retracing it's evolution; suffice it to say, it was reborn several years ago as a boutique theater that mostly runs independent films. We saw Old Henry there and it was a very enjoyable experience, with one caveat. As we approached the front door we saw signage indicating that patrons must wear a mask in order to enter. The sign did not specify which type of mask was appropriate, or effective in filtering out a virus, or for that matter how the mask should fit in order to optimize it's effectiveness...just wear the dang thing! To give some perspective, the Circle is in Tulsa, not LA, Chicago, or NY. When our local Whole Foods and Costco have stopped requiring the face diaper (long ago), you realize that it's not about health, but virtue signaling. Congrats Circle, you're officially woke. The moment we sat down to watch the show, off came the standard issue surgical masks (you know, the light blue ones that medical personnel wear in the OR to prevent sweat and spital from landing on the patient). When the show ended and the lights came up, not one person in the theater was wearing a mask and proceeded to exit the building without donning the symbolic accessory. To further reinforce the Circle's inane policy of "protecting us from ourselves", there were no instructions for seating ourselves once inside the theater. I thought social distancing was a key component along with masks!? Guess not. People were side by side in clusters. Nice. Shouldn't there have been about three seats between each patron? That would've been roughly 6'. Oh, but wait, that would potentially limit the number of tickets that could be sold. I digress. The Circle is a nice, clean place to watch a movie. The staff is friendly and helpful. One last thing, if the hypocrisy and inconsistent application of mask mandates throttles you a bit, please don't take it out on the staff; they're just following orders. It's the high brow elitist ownership and it's need to be affirmed by the right people who should...

Firstly, I want to say that I am moving to Tulsa at the end of the summer and definitely plan to become a member here since I am a fan of independent films.

HOWEVER, my first experience at this theatre was not good at all - but before I get into it I want to stress that it was not at all the theatre's fault.

I came in to see the Elvis movie last night. I did get some reasonably priced concessions and loved that there was beer for purchase as well.

I was confused however about where to purchase tickets because the box office was not open.

Several people talked loudly through the entire movie and I ended up walking out. I was pretty surprised because I thought it was common knowledge that it's extremely rude to do that during a movie.

I would suggest the theatre include a reminder (on screen and announcement) at the beginning of the movie that talking or texting during the movie is not allowed, and also have an usher in each theater during movies to enforce this rule. I do realize that this is a nonprofit but I bet they could find...

Live purposefully. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:

• When your loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

• Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

• Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.

• Take naps.

• Stretch before rising.

• Run, romp, and play daily.

• Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

• Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

• On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

• On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

• When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

• Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

• Be faithful.

• Never pretend to be something you’re not.

• If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

• When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

How come a dog can figure that out, and we have such a...

Went on 3-12-22 Updated 3-15-22 Movie was supposed to start at 5pm. It is now 5:30 and the movie still has not started. Went to see what was going on as they had said nothing. The employee said thanks for letting us know and walked away. It has been another 5-10 minutes and still nothing. We have a dinner reservation and now won't be able to finish the movie before dinner. The popcorn was seemingly not fresh or very hot. Also no refund was offered to us for not being able to finish the movie or tickets to another show. Had a similar issue at AMC years ago and when they came in to acknowledge the issue they told everyone that if they had to leave because of the delay they would provide tickets to another show at later date or a refund. I wanted to like the supposedly hidden gem of Tulsa but the theater room was filthy (trash, food and drinks left from previous viewings that we had to throw away ourselves to take our seats) and the customer service was seriously lacking.

We went to see White Christmas last weekend. The theater has the most interesting art on the walls, an beautiful organ and a old movie projector in the lobby to see. They set up a place for you to take pictures for a great memory with friends for the movie you attended. The theater was remodeled and kept in beautiful shape. The staff was so friendly. The movie we went to was a sing along. The host gave out information before the movie and we were awarded prizes for who knew most about the show. Great audience participation made the movie experience so much fun. Can't wait to go back again!!! Parking is behind the theater out back.

I loved visiting this history filled little theater! Being born and raised in Tulsa, I had never visited until now. The staff was so nice and there was a wide variety of concessions to choose from, including goodies from Antoinette's Bakery nearby, which always serves up amazing food, so that was a nice surprise! We got the popcorn, fountain drink, a local IPA beer, a brown butter rice crispy treat, and kettle corn. The kettle corn and rice crispy were both Antoinette's creations. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again and support this iconic, local gem!
