The Home Depot — Local services in Tulsa

I’ve been a loyal customer to Home Depot for 35 years and really I have never been treated like this store has treated me. First off I own almost only Ridgid tools and have thousands in Ridgid tools I have the jobsite pro table saw with stand, 10” miter saw and 12” sliding miter saw, corded rear handle circular saw, cordless rear handle circular saw, 2 @ 7 1/4” cordless saws, jigsaw sawzaws hammer drills impact drivers 1/2” and 3/8” heavy duty impact wrenches and so on and more. So I purchased another pro table saw with stand and 12” dual sliding compound miter saw with stand and I think one more tool as a deal off their site and sold the table saw to a buddy for only $300 because his saw recently burnt up. Then the brand new saw burnt up after fourth time using it after I constantly promote Ridgid. Anyways we go take it to this Home Depot to swap it for one that works. So the girl at returns starts doing her thing and tells me they only have one so I grab real quick and come back so she tells me she did a return instead of swapping it that way the 90 day return starts over and she said I was get an extra $80 for some reason. So now the moneys going back on my card in “3 days” but I didn’t want to do that because I didn’t have enough in my account to cover the new one she says sorry it’s already done and again said the extra 80. The whole time the manager was right there helping her and says we couldn’t swap it anyways. Luckily my buddy could cover it and I got him back on payday. So he’s getting his stuff and the saw so I take off thinking everything is handled. Next day on job he has the new saw said he even got a discount. So I forget all about it and 3 weeks later realize the money never hit my account. So I talk to my bank they say it’s Home Depot so I talk to Home Depot they say it’s my bank this back and forth nonsense goes on for another month and I’m starting to get upset cause it’s $700 that I have a receipt for and my bank manager gives me the whole rundown on how it’s Home Depot so I go back for the seventh time and the manager is telling me they have to review tapes and investigate it and Monday they will have an answer. So Monday me and my buddy are getting materials and I talk to the manager and now he’s acting like we pulled some nonsense and says my buddy walk out of the store without paying for the new saw so instead of getting police involved they just voided my return and swapped out the saws “like we wanted in the first place”. What!!! I spend thousands every month at Home Depot and my buddy had spent close to $180,000 over last six months for the whole house remodel we were doing on his house and you call us thieves and mostly my buddy and never told me any of this the last 7 times I was there asking about my money. Well my buddy actually didn’t pay for it because the girl didn’t ring it up even though I told her he was getting it and she had their guy help him load it but my buddy thought she rung it up and didn’t look at his receipt until after manager called him a thief. This is so stupid and insulting I mean I returned my saw got a receipt showing my refund and because they screwed up they secretly void my refund when they didn’t know me and my buddy were cool or if he’d just run with it. Oh my god and instead of getting an apology I was accused of being a thief. I’m so pissed over this I will never go in any Home Depot other than 71st and mingo where I know I can go to the pro desk and Troy will take care of any issues or I can talk to Frank the only Home Depot manager with any sense. Only providing 1 star because I can't give a zero.Do not use this Home Depot for home remodels. They are unreliable, unresponsive and simply do not care. My parents recently did a kitchen remodel through the home depot in Tulsa, OK, 8880 S. Delaware Ave. On May 6th they purchased cabinets with installation. They were told that it would take 4 weeks to get the cabinets and about 2 days for installation. The installer showed up within the specified time but was very rude and unprofessional. After 2 days working in their home, he informed them that the wrong materials had been ordered. After several other anamolies, the installation was finally complete on August 20th (96 days from purchase). One of the cabinets was scratched and a large gouge was made in our kitchen floor. During all of this time my parents were without a kitchen. They are in their 70's and had to spend a ton of extra money eating out. They had to use the bathroom to wash any dirty dishes and to get water. They also tried to purchase quartz countertops but after paying and waiting for some time for it to arrive they were told it was on backorder. They purchased them elsewhere. Dad has complained to management numerous times to no avail. Each time he called he was told that someone would call and nobody did. This Home Depot is much like any other Home Depot I have been in. There's alot of stuff here. Home improvement type stuff. The selection is great and I definitely like Home Depot better than Lowes. Personal choice, nothing definitive. My fridge died. It was 25 years old, Kenmore brand and had no special qualities whatsoever aside from amazing longevity. No Kenmore at Home Depot, a so I went with a very highly rated General electric side by side with a water and ice dispenser. In the house delivery and haul away for around 1600. Barely going to fit in the fridge spot, but I will make it work even if I have to trim baseboards. The purchasing experience wa fast, easy and luley resulted in the fastest 1600 I have ever spent in my life. Katherine, the aplliance center salesperson was great. No nonsense, efficient and knew how to operate the computer to complete the order and arrange delivery. All things that help tremendously when buying something. She was also part-time, which used to translate into worthless when it comes to handling things but here, it went smooth and great. All in all, I cannot think of a single negative about the experience. Will this fridge last 25 years? No way.
