I must admit that I ainât someone who typically writes Google reviews, but after receiving exceptional service from Toyota of Olympia, I felt compelled to share my experience. Having purchased cars from various dealerships in WA state, I can confidently say dat Toyota of Olympia is one of the best. My recent car buying experience with âem was truly remarkable & unmatched by any previous experiences!
Almost 2 months ago, my old car was deemed a total loss, so I had to begin searching for a new one at a dealership. Knowing it would be challenging to find my desired car quickly, I decided to contact various Toyota dealerships in WA state. Approximately a month ago, I started looking for a 2024 Toyota Prius Prime XSE to purchase. As a resident of Seattle, I initially reached out to z local Toyota dealer & then expanded my search to other dealers nearby. In total, I contacted 8 Toyota dealers in WA state, including z one in my city & the Toyota of Olympia. W/ the exception of z response from z Toyota of Olympia, all other dealers informed me that z new Toyota Prius Prime was difficult to come by. They advised that if I wanted the car, Iâd have to wait at least 3-6 months & make a deposit, which would go towards z down payment.
Two days later, Toyota of Olympia replied to my inquiry w/ thrilling news dat theyâve the car Iâve been looking for in stock. They didnât have an excessive markup like some dealers, instead they provided me w/ a very reasonable price dat anyone would be pleased to accept. I promptly responded to their exciting news. Subsequently, a remarkable gentleman named Deion Moore, who is one of their client concierges, contacted me to assist w/ z purchasing process by requesting all z essential documents required for z car purchase. I supplied âem w/ all z necessary paperwork & information needed for z purchase. I sought assistance for transportation to z dealership to finalize z paperwork, & Deion confirmed dat someone would be sent to pick me up. Residing in Seattle means dat z distance from my residence to Toyota of Olympia is 50 mi. It truly speaks volumes when someone is willing to travel such a distance just to pick u up, showcasing their exceptional character. If I were to take an UberX by myself, z one-way fare would amount to $220, so u can easily calculate z total cost for a round trip.
Keeping his promise, Deion Moore, a kind-hearted & personable gentleman, arrived at my house in z morning on z day of our scheduled meeting to give me a ride. Our journey to z dealership was filled w/ engaging conversation, as he proved to be a sincere, respectful, & knowledgeable individual whom u could talk to for hrs. Upon reaching z dealership, I completed all necessary procedures for purchasing z car w/ Deion's unwavering support & excellence in his role. Additionally, Linda, z finance manager, was equally kind & supportive, providing detailed explanations before I signed all z required paperwork. Once I completed all z necessary paperwork, Deion Moore drove me back to my home in Seattle, covering a distance of 50 mi. It's worth noting that he had to drive the same distance back to z dealership after dropping me off.
I was informed that my car would be ready for collection by z week's end, & true to their word, I did retrieve my lovely car as promised. The thing I appreciate z most about this place is z level of respect they show towards their customers & the way every team member greets u, ensuring your well-being. I also observe z mutual respect & affection theyâve for each other. Iâm impressed & delighted when Deion Moore speaks highly of his team members, such as referring to z financial manager Linda as his work mom, demonstrating z kindness & respect theyâve for each other. W/ individuals such as Deion Moore, who possesses remarkable humility & impeccable character, & many others like him on board, there is no question that this dealership stands out as one of the top Toyota dealerships in WA state. I strongly urge everyone to consider visiting this dealership when in need of purchasing a...
Read moreA few months ago I was looking for my next vehicle and VERY hesitant to buy from a dealership again after spending over a year fighting with Kia of Olympia on the brand new car I bought that was consumed with problems that eventually led to me arguing with Kia of America and having the car bought back under lemon law. Will, was amazing, he was so compassionate of the situation, my frustration, fears, and hesitancy to buy another car. Now, the sales as we know is to make us happy and want us to buy a car but you can tell this wasn't just a sale to him, he really worked hard for this sale ha-ha. I had a weird timeline that was open to get another car before Kia took my loaner back and expected me to buy from there again but I did not know when it could happen - range from days to weeks. Every so often he checked in, but really respected my feelings and times allowing me to reach out and not feel any pressure from him. Always answering all my questions, communication was great. He was pretty damn patient, I am pretty sure we test drove everything I wanted (so basically, every model, trim etc.) Eventually settling on my dream truck rather than settling with something I know I wont keep long term. I was riddled with anxiety while I was waiting for financing, he gave me the keys and said "let's go to Starbucks, lets go for a drive in your truck and give them time. This calmed my nerves so much, just the fact he acknowledged and made an effort to ensure my entire experience with him was supported made a huge difference.
My nightmare with Kia was mostly with their service department. It was at that time I realized who I really need to get to know is the service dept. Sadly, through the life of the truck I wont be working with Will but the service dept. Will brought me around and introduced me to people there that I could reach out to with any problems. It was time for my 5k mile inspection, I scheduled it easily and the team was informative, addressed questions and looked at my squeaky window. They ordered the part last night and had it replaced this morning. I forgot when scheduling it yesterday I had to go see patients in their home and I needed my truck by a certain time. Michelle was helpful and provided solutions either by having the truck done or waiting to start the truck so either way I can see my patients and have the truck worked on. I love that they sent videos on both days on what is being done with the truck, inspection results, and going over the problem I brought up including resolutions. Ran into Will this morning at drop off and he bought my coffee and we caught up. It was nice to see even after the purchase, he was invested in how things were going and it was good to catch up.
This experience has changed the way I feel about service in general. After being ignored, belittled, and spoken to like an idiot at Kia when bringing up problems I had a huge distrust and the sense that everything was a fight. From start to finish here it was excellent and I appreciate being treated like a person, feeling heard and felt like my truck was in good hands and taken care of.
Will, Michelle & Dylan - Thank you for giving me the peace, trust, and...
Read moreMy family has been loyal to Toyota for years, purchasing multiple vehiclesâincluding two new ones just last year. Overall, our experiences with the brand have been great, but my recent experience with Toyota of Olympia has been the worst by far.
I initially contacted the dealership about my 2003 4Runner, which had a sunroof stuck open. I spoke with Advisor Jason, who quoted me over $6,000 to repair itâon a vehicle worth roughly $12,000. When I called back to request an itemized breakdown, I was informed Jason was unavailable and was transferred to another advisor, Michelle. Wasnât able to get ahold of her and other advisors couldnât provide an itemized bill and told me the sunroof couldnât simply be closedâit had to be fully replaced. No one consulted the technician or offered to even try just flat out No.
Frustrated, I called Toyota of Tacoma, who said theyâd be happy to give it a shot. The next day, Michelle told me they could attempt to close the sunroof after all. I agreed, and they were able to close it by cutting the cablesâsomething I was originally told wasnât possible. For that, I was charged $2,200 in labor.
I also requested an alignment and a few minor services. A week later, I was informed that one of the camber bolts was seized and both front lower control arm bushings were worn out, preventing the alignment. I was quoted another $1,800. Though I had concerns, I approved the repairs.
The day before pickup, Michelle said the technician had spent over two hours on one side and broke a tool trying to remove the parts. I was told Iâd either have to pay more in labor or replace both lower control arms for an additional $1,000. I declined, explaining the control arms were still in good condition. I expected issues like tool breakage to be covered under standard labor.
By then, my total was nearing $4,700. Michelle and the technician then told me if I didnât agree to the extra $1,000, Iâd have to tow the vehicle out, as theyâd refuse to continue work. I told them to skip the alignment, but the technician had already cut into components, making it impossible to reassembleâdespite my instructions.
I asked them to return the bushings and let me tow the car, but Michelle then offered a new deal: return the bushings, replace one control arm, and the added cost would only be $560. I said Iâd think about it. Fifteen minutes later, she called back again and said she could now source both control arms for just $200âdown from the original $1,000 quote.
This entire experience felt dishonest and exploitative. Pricing fluctuated wildly, basic questions were avoided, and I was pressured with ultimatums like âtow it out if you donât pay.â The lack of transparency and aggressive sales tactics were unacceptable. While I respect that businesses need to make money, this felt more like taking advantage of customers who donât know what to question.
I wonât be returning to Toyota of Olympia and recommend others be extremely cautious. You shouldnât have to fight for fair treatment when getting your...
