Azalea Trails Assisted Living and Memory Care has been such a blessing for our family. We are so grateful for how kind, patient, and genuinely caring all of the aides and staff are. They go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable and loved, and it shows in every interaction.
The facility itself is beautiful, cheerful, and bright. It feels warm and welcoming rather than clinical. We especially appreciate that it’s pet-friendly, so our mom can still see her dog, and he can interact with the other dogs who live there.
The meals are delicious, with a variety that makes dining something to look forward to. The kitchen staff routinely ask for input from the residents regarding meal options. There are also so many activities offered every week, from games and exercise to outings and special events. There’s truly something for everyone to enjoy and stay engaged.
We are so grateful to have found Azalea Trails. It gives us such peace of mind knowing our loved one is surrounded by such a caring community in a safe, happy, and vibrant...
Read moreI am sad to have to post this review, but I have no choice. PLEASE don’t put your loved one in this facility! Our loved one’s were a part of this community for 3 years. The care they received was good in the beginning, but went downhill drastically in the last several months. I understand that caring for elderly people in the middle of a pandemic is difficult, but it is not impossible. It should not be hard to treat people with the love, respect and the dignity they deserve. Our loved one was “barricaded” in her room by large pieces of furniture and we were told she was even tied to a chair! This is NOT okay. She was not feed properly and was also always anxious and scared. The employees were not always honest with us and most of them were lazy and didn’t really care about the residents. Since we moved her to another facility in Denton, she has gained weight, become much more social and she is actually happy. This is proof to me that people can receive good care in the middle of a pandemic. Again, PLEASE DON’T place your loved one in...
Read moreWe checked in memory care Azalea Trails in Tyler, Texas, September 1, and checked out September 6, 2022. Given false information about services provided. 2.Given false information about staff/patient ratio. Most staff untrained in dementia patient care. Gave medications wrong.ignored Hospice MD orders. Food a 1 on scale of 1-10, with 1 being the worst. Patients expected to watch Tv all day. Can’t stay in their rooms. Fees very high and threatened that it would go higher due to his level of care. We provided sitters and hospice provided caregivers 3 times a week. Some staff rude and disrespectful to our sitters. All they care about is the money. Don’t trust what they say. They even ask you to give up your Civil Rights to sue them and that you agree to arbitration if things go wrong. This is before you even move in. Run from these people and their staff, only a few staff were helpful and knew how to treat a person and a dementia patient and that was Eddie, a sweet Philippine lady and...
