The old stereo in my truck quit picking up stations. I stopped at Jacks Stereo and bought a Kenwood stereo. When I pulled the old stereo I found my antenna had somehow unplugged. I plugged it in and the radio worked perfectly.
Three days after I bought the Kenwood I took it back to Jacks Stereo. I had not even opened the box of the Kenwood and had been careful to keep it in perfect condition. All they would give me was store credit and would not refund my money. The guy told me that it said so on my receipt. So, that means that the moment after I was handed the receipt I had no options. They had my money and that was that. Well, they got that money from me, but they will never get another penny. I have 2 vehicles that need the windows re-tinted and I buy a new stereo once in awhile.
Who has a zero return policy? Not one that is looking for return business. I thought I would try to support a local small business instead of going to a big box store, but Jacks Stereo burned me. Read moreThese guys are great!….what a car audio shop should be like. Had all the top brands and at prices that were almost the same you’d find online, so that was a big pleasant surprise! My sales rep was busy when I got there but made sure he’d get to me and when he did he understood when I told him I needed to be able to wire down to 1 ohm and the amp be able to handle it over a given long period of time. Almost wasn’t going to get anything because what I needed wasn’t what I was prepared to buy in cash. Then he handed me something to scan and apply for to see if I could get financing and I was beyond thrilled when I got way more credit than I’d ever would’ve thought! I ended up with in my option one of the best name brands in car audio (Rockford Fosgate) amp and still had enough credit i can get a T1 when I get ready…I left there well much more than i have ever had before as far as quality and a way to afford it. Read moreFirst thing I’d like to say is the customer service at this shop is phenomenal. Very home-y vibe and you feel very welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I took my subs to get installed(two kicker 12 comp-c’s with a skar 1500 watt amp) in my 2022 Kia Stinger Gt-Line about two weeks ago. Shortly after, I had a couple issues where my subs and amp would stay on after the car was shut off. This issue had been tested in the shop and didn’t seem to have any issues until I took it home and it began to vibrate while my car was off randomly. The second I exclaimed this issue to the techs up at Jacks, there were eager to do whatever they could to fix it at no extra cost and made sure everything was working in tip top shape. It’s been about a week now since I took it in and had them fix the issue and my subs are working perfectly fine with no issue. My only complaint I can say I have is the time it takes them to complete their work. If you plan on getting subs installed, be prepared for it to take most of the day.
