Ok so I usually go to this store on Sundays and have never really had a problem with the employees working there during those particular days. But today my brother and I went to their Black Friday Sale to get a figure that he had been saving up for. Everything was fine until he went to pay and they told him that the price as marked wasn't the price they would sell it to him for and that it was actually $200 dollars more.
My brother's not one to complain, but I'm here to say that was the worst customer service I've ever seen. If a product is price marked already then the price shouldn't be hiked up ESPECIALLY DURING A SALE OR in front of the customer who is already at the register ready to pay.
The owner has stated that there were signs throughout the store warning of price changes and this is partly true as the signs were mainly posted in the back at the time; however, we DID confirm and double check the price with him personally before continuing to browse. Regardless of whether or not there were signs, changing the price in front of customers is terrible way to build trust. I would recommend changing prices when the store is closed and/or posting bigger, more visible signs as to avoid situations such as this.
My experiences with this store have mostly been positive and this one event has caused me to lose quite a bit of trust in the way it is run. Nevertheless, there is always room to grow and I hope both parties learn from the event...
Read moreI wouldn't call myself a comic hobbyist by any means, however, something came out recently that I wanted. A buddy of mine who is into comics suggested I give this place a look for what I needed.
Before I decided to drive over I called to see if they had what I wanted in stock. When I called I was received with a, "What!?!?!" in an angry and rude tone.
I was so confused as I felt that I had called a random dude's number... but no.. someone must have peed in this guy's cheerios this morning because he was incredibly rude off the rip.
Comic book shops are already a place for a niche hobby community and can be confusing for a newcomer. This interaction alone discourages me from getting into comics but luckily I was eventually able to find what I needed after calling Chris's Comics and Treasure Island Comics, which were both happy to help me.
EDIT: I cannot respond back to the owners response on here but I will say this. I have absolutely no idea what he is talking about, as I only called once at 1pm today. This was also the very first time I had ever called this store, and is most definitely the last. You must have mistaken me for someone else calling and taken your frustrations out on me. Again, I was so confused as if I had called a random wrong number. Please don't blatantly accuse me of lying. Check your call logs before you do too, I only called once, not twice. Don’t know who you’re...
Read moreStore hours on Facebook page, on door of store said they open at 12. I drove 2 hours to the store only for it to be closed after informing the store employee online that I was enroute to the store to make a purchase. After waiting for 20 min ..i get a response that the store was opening at 1230. I head back to the store.. the employee was rude telling me that he didn't have to help us that he was doing us a favor letting us in even tho it said on the door 6 ppl are allowed in store at a time as long as they are social distancing.. the product I wanted to buy cost 400 the tax somehow ended up being nearly ...40 dollars ... Which I'm still confused at. Over all I wont ever come back and don't understand why the employee chose to be rude to paying customers who had contacted him prior to showing up for a product then showed up only for them to be closed then instead of being polite go off on a mini rant about how he didn't have to let us s in...if this wasn't a product so hard to find i definitely would not give them...
