I had my 2.4L all-motor 2002 s2000 tuned at Evans Tuning this past Friday by Jeff Evans. Jeff's understanding of the s2000 and AEM infinity is truly remarkable. I could go on and on about Jeff's abilities, experience and just how nice he and his wife Andrea are. Evans Tuning is such a breath of fresh air in comparison to the other 2 shops I had my car tuned at previously. Jeff explains everything and listens to you if/when you have a question or concern. His results speak to the amazing command he has over his craft. Yet he charges very fair market prices (same amount I was otherwise fleeced for, in hindsight given the awful results, by other incapable tuners). And Jeff was super quick with the tune (bulk of the time was spent wiring up the ABS sensors to the AEM infinity so he could enable Traction Control support). I drove 500 miles round-trip to get my 2.4L stroker tuned by Jeff and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Jeff only saw the need to go to 24-25 for ignition timing, he reduced VTEC crossover to 4000 RPM, he used closed-loop and did an amazing job setting up the 2 VE tables (for low and high cam) in terms of TPS -- the VE table tuning is something I don't think other more average tuners really understand. He also leveraged all my extra sensors (oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure) by setting up all the appropriate failsafes. He calibrated knock tables and identified a source of knock and helped remove it.

A huge benefit to Jeff's tune is the improved fuel economy: I was only getting 17 mpg with my previous tune (AFR ranging 12.8 - 13.5 while cruising on highway) on the way to PA. On the way back from PA, even with driving more aggressively than on the way down, I averaged 26 mpg (with AFR ranging 14.8 - 15.1).
