I came to Puerto Rico for the bad bunny concert thinking it would be the highlight of my trip and even though my concert is a couple days away I feel like nothing is going to top this experience. I unknowingly signed up for what I can describe as a life changing experience. Here’s what you need to know about this trip, yes you must be physically CAPABLE of walking up steep hills, jumping, pulling your weight up and down muddy hills, balancing and awareness of your limitations. I’m a 5’7 220lb male who works out maybe 1-2x a week and even though I was able to do it, I have to admit it was not easy. During this tour according to my Apple Watch I did 100 minutes of work out, 9,631 steps, 4.01 miles and burned over 1,160 calories. This is what you need: pair of shoes with grip that you don’t mind getting went and muddy, gloves when pulling yourself on the ropes, you will get went right away so wear your water clothes so you don’t have to change into it. Take sandals for the end of the trip when you change, waterproof cases and a small backpack. If you don’t have one Andre has two extra ones that he will lend you. Your backpack will not get wet or anything else you don’t want to wet you can leave on the trail while you dip into the water. Andre provides water bottles, fresh fruit, and great attitude. Here’s how the day starts: Andre will meet everyone (small group) at the Double Tree starting at 6:20am and will leave from there at 7am. He will drive you to a coffee restaurant owned by a family and explains the history of its authenticity. After you have delicious breakfast and coffee you will drive out to into the mountains to the location. Note: take some motion sickness meds if you tend to get car sick. It’s a lot of up hill turning and more turning. Once at the location you will hike to the first waterfall , and I was very impressed but that wasn’t even the best waterfall for the day. You hike further up the mountain and stop at multiple waterfalls and you get to take pictures and dip into the water. Andre doesn’t rush you at all. When you arrive at the huge waterfall he cuts fresh fruit and shares with everyone. On your way back down it’s also not as easy, we had someone fall and scrape their leg and arm and other saying their legs were shaking from being tired(me) but Andre motivates you to keep going and believe in yourself. The conversations are what you bring to the table, if you’re negative the energy will drain everyone, if you have a positive outlook on everything the conversation will bring you memorable moments in your life. And the end back to the Van he sets up pop up canopies for you to change your clothes and dry. We then drive to a local Puerto Rican BBQ restaurant where they have coffee, alcoholic non alcoholic drinks, bakery, and delicious food. All for $8 per person. We paid with credit card but it’s best to pay cash, cash is king. Again, it’s important to bring a great friendly attitude. Know what you’re signing up for this experience is amazing and worth every penny. You will appreciate life and possibly cry if you’re going through something in your life. The views just breathtaking and all the pictures you see do not do justice for the beauty in...

Above 5 Stars!!! - A truly exceptional and authentic Puerto Rice adventurous tour!

Above 5 stars. Our family has been on a lot of tours in many countries and of course some are better than others and some truly meet the standard of 5 stars, but what make this one stand out even more is that we can’t think of anything we would even recommend they consider changing about the tour. It is truly outstanding from beginning to end with a lot of thought well thought out features and fine tuning to the itenerary. The owner of the company is also the chief tour guide and is very personally involved in making sure every customer is well taken care of. He has invested a substantial amount of his personal time in setting up the tour and even developing the trails themselves. He has an outstanding personality, but more so is authentically interested in getting to know each of his clients from the very start and catering certain aspects of the tour to the desires, abilities, and interests of the group. He is so passionate about teaching clients about the culture and has really put together a spectacular tour that is unlike the regular tour track. If you, your significant other, your company outing, or family get together are looking for an tour that teaches the history, the culture, the beauty of the country in a truly exhilarating manner that will cause powerful memories and shared joy, then this is definitely the one. Not only is is far worth the cost, it offers so much more details and extras than the larger tour companies. Plus it literally takes you off the beaten path that other tour guides aren’t even aware of. This professional guide has spent his life exploring, learning, and teaching about the rain forest area, and he also integrates part of the communities, such as a fascinating historically prominent coffee producer and then later takes you to a resturant for lunch that the locals obviously rave about at such a fair price and gives each guest a abundant variety of dishes to try so you will really feel immersed with the people, their customs, and their land. I can’t more highly recommend a tour that has made such an incredible impact on our children as well as adults in our group. I put this tour as a top must for Puerto Rico, but also put it up against top tours in Greece, Germany, France, Switzerland, Thailand, Venice, etc. The amazing things you get to see and do on this tour sells itself and make it remarkably unique in of itself. But, you will be also be very pleased with the various parts of the hike and explorations that keep building higher and higher in latitude and exuberance both literally and figuratively along the trails. Plus the treats along the way are also a huge “splash”! (No spoilers, just puns you will more fully understand once you experience it). Trust me, you don’t want to miss this and will be very thankful that you were blessed with this opportunity, and Andre’ will work even harder until he is convinced you...

This excursion was fantastic, Andres was such a great host and you can really tell he puts a lot of pride and effort into making it the experience that it is. We started our day at the cutest little coffee shop where the food and coffee were delicious. The hike was unbelievable. Completely private and our small group were the only ones there. The waterfalls and views were absolutely breathtaking. We had the most refreshing mango and pineapple mid-hike which was such a nice treat. It was also really nice just chatting with Andres, as he’s really easy to talk to. Based on the description of the hike, and all the information he provides you beforehand, you really know what to expect beforehand. We ended our day at an euthentic low key Puerto Rican restaurant and the food was cheap and delicious. We had such a great time and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who wants a more private; intimate experience where you are not fighting a bunch of people.

Also, you should book directly from their platform AlturaPR as many of the companies take a sizable chunk from what they charge and he is an individual running his own business, not some...
