Chevere offers an old fashioned shopping experience where the customer is truly appreciated. When you walk in, you are greeted with a warmth that lets you know you are welcome to look around for as long as you like and if you need help, the owner, Pat is there for you. She listens and offers her thoughts with genuine care.
The boutique section of the shop includes fabulous tops, warm sweaters, the amazing and creative jewelry that Pat designs herself, as well as beautiful scarves, mittens, hats, fun t-shirts, perfume oils, handbags, and handmade soaps, none of which I have seen anywhere else.
The beading section offers everything a novice to an experienced jewelry designer needs from the start to the finish of a design. The beads, charms, findings, stringing supplies, and tools are as high quality as there is.
She offers classes where you can learn the basics of beading or how to construct particular pieces of jewelry. She is a patient and kind teacher. She wants those who come to learn to walk away knowing they have made an amazing piece of jewelry and that they can say “I made this and I can make it again.” She teaches skills that are fun to have and uplifting to use.
The atmosphere is unlike any shop I have visited. Pat cares about her customers. As soon as you walk in, there is a feeling of celebration for creativity and self. Chevere is a wonderful place that stands out in a cookie cutter world and Pat is a shop owner who offers the smile and connection with her customers that is...
Read moreI remember like it was yesterday when I first walked into Chevere. It wasn’t like any other shop I’ve ever been in. I am obsessed with jewelry and clothing to a point where when I was five years old my family was interviewed by Natalie Jacobson as my brother was granted a wish to go to Disney World. Natalie had on these beautiful red shoes and I blurted out how much I loved them. Years later in my teens we did a event with her and she bought me the exact pair❤️ That’s when fashion became my life at 5years old. So when I stepped into Chevere and saw unique clothing and jewelry that was handmade one of a kind I was in heaven. You can find a piece of jewelry that could cost way to much for your taste and show it to Pat, she can make you that piece and probably even better for a way better price. I never thought I would be able to make jewelry with my tremors but she never gave up on me even though it took years lol. Now i have the confidence to make jewelry ❤️ But let’s skip to what I love the most, the Apparel! I always dressed different even when I was younger. I was more the hippy friend. The bell bottoms, tie dye and platforms or the funky dress and braids in my hair. What I love about Chevere is they carry clothing that can appeal to all ages and styles. It’s a small boutique with a big punch. You can spend a whole day there. You will quickly become part of a family there. Chevere stands for awesome in Spanish. That...
Read moreI decided on a whim to get my friend some mala beads for her birthday. I decided to check this place out. I was really impressed with customer service and level of attention to detail from Patricia, the owner. I had a color palate in mind and she helped me pick out the aventurite beads, and a beautiful green buddha to tie it all together. She let me parouse the shop at my leisure to find the string I wanted and worked with me on a price that I could manage. She was very knowledgeable, helpful, and low-pressure. She told me she could make the malas for me herself, and knot them, to boot! She had them ready just hours after I left the store and sent a picture of the finished product. Thank you Patricia, for your kindness, talent, and excellent customer service! My friend...
