I joined Elev8 in May of 2021. The entire team (Berto, Blanca, Kelly, Kristea) at Elev8 was very welcoming and guided me through a quality workout program and fitness journey. As a result, I joined the gym weighing in at 156 pounds (5’5’’) and lost weight down to 132 pounds in about 3-5 months. I took a combination of the sudacircuit (3 x week) and weight training (2/3 x week). After staying consistent for over 6 months and progressively overloading. I started seeing major results. I essentially reshaped my body figure and by the year mark of May 2022 I had gained about 10 pounds of muscle. Berto guided me through my fitness journey- and memorizes your weekly goals, body strengths and areas of opportunity. Berto is methodical + skilled in his approach and if you follow his training you will see results. This is a quality gym, clean, friendly, motivational and most importantly a safe place for all gym goers, newbies, skilled or looking to get your body moving.
I’ve gained a whole new level of confidence in myself through weight training that carried over into my personal life and work. After hitting some PRs in squatting and deadlifting, I took on life challenges with the same mentality. Cheesy as this sounds- it helped me stay on track with life and I’m walking away with 10x more confidence. Invest in yourself and this gym, you won’t regret it.

Read moreThis review is long overdue. I have trained with Berto since April 2016 and have loved it every day since. He's a trainer who has the best heart and really cares about your overall being. I've never faced a more caring and committed trainer before, and Berto really embodies the best you can get.
I appreciate that he tailors his approach to the specific goals of each client. I train for muscular development and others train for weight loss and he uses different approaches for each and every one of us. He continually comes up with new ideas for a great workout that challenges your body to the limit. Berto is an investment. By training with him, you'll not only be more informative about how to be healthy, but also how to challenge your body to its limits.
As with every trainer, nobody is going to do the work for you. You'll have to do the pushing, the lifting, the movements on your own, however, Berto is 200% supportive and makes it a great time for you. So fun to be around with that instead of thinking about going to workout, it's like hanging out with a friend with health benefits! No one else would make working out at 5AM worth it.
ELEV8 is a private facility, very clean with lots of different types of equipment. There is not a lot of people at one time which is comforting especially if anyone is self-conscious. They were willing to work with my specific physical needs, made me a custom nutrition plan, assessed and worked around prior injuries, and really went out of their way to accommodate my schedule.
Beyond the program structure and flexibility, Berto and Kelly were instrumental in the mental toughness I built around my health and fitness. Dealing with injuries in my early 20’s brought with it a lot of frustration. They didn’t let me spiral and feel sorry for myself, they met me where I was at and kept reminding me that we as a team are going to work through whatever my circumstances are.
