My wife and I had a very poor experience at Greve Chrysler. We were told that both the tires and breaks were replaced at trade in with the vehicle that we purchased one more than one occasion. Once we started driving the vehicle around town we noticed a scrapping noise with the back tires so to investigate our break noise, we took it to our mechanic in town whom we have been doing business with for years. After they looked at our vehicle, they confirmed that our back tires were never replaced and actually need to be replaced in the next few months, and that the back breaks were a complete mess. Apparently when Greve Chrysler replaces breaks, they only replace the brake pads and nothing more. Our mechanic showed us the rotors and they were completely rusted and he couldnāt quite understand why someone would put new brake pads on rotors that looked this bad. We had to spend about $300 to get the brakes fixed on the vehicle we were told had just been replaced. I called Greve and spoke with Alex, who may be one of the least helpful and sympathetic managerās I have ever spoken with. When trying to explain our situation, there was little done to understand it from our perspective or our point of view and it instantly became him versus me as if I was trying to get something from him, or trying to get something over on him. I had told him that Mike told us that the breaks and tires were replaced at trade in and when he asked Mike, Mike denied ever telling us that information. Then Alex checked the service records and said that only the back brakes were replaced. I told Alex that I took the car to my mechanic and that the back brakes were never replaced and he responded by saying that I was wrong because the service records indicate that they were and he would not be able to do anything or help me at all. All I was asking Alex to do was replace my brakes that I was told was replaced, and I got so desperate I had to bust out a line I saw on their website that says āwe will do whatever it takes to ensure you are 100% satisfied with all of our products and servicesā. After bringing up that line on their website, Alex finally attempted to correct the situation and he said that best he could do is look at the car at his shop, no exceptions. We live an hour and a half away and honestly didnāt trust them so we bit the bullet and fixed the brakes ourselves. After going to pick up the vehicle after the brakes had been fixed, our mechanic showed us how bad the brakes were and still couldnāt understand why any competent mechanic would throw new brake pads on something this bad. Based on my experience I would highly suggest never doing business with Greve Chrysler in Van Wert. They had multiple opportunities to correct their wrong and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience dealing with them. We bought a truck mid June and upon buying we were lied to by the sales manager saying it still needed to go through initial service. Come to find out it needed a bunch of work which took till July 3rd. On that day we picked the truck up to find it filthy as ever. 29days and 1200miles have passed since delivery of the truck and its back at the dealership for a catastrophic lifter failure and transmission slipping AGAIN! We were told by Alex that we couldn't just return the vehicle and buy something else on the lot we liked but instead had to trade in a truck we have barely got to drive. This is an absolute joke to deal with. I myself have worked on the new Gen 5.3ls and know that the lifters have failed and so does many of my friends that are certified gm techs. But to be told I don't know that it is that problem by a SALES MANAGER is insulting to myself and others. In my honest opinion if I would have known about how bad this place is to deal with I would have looked elsewhere for a truck where I wouldn't have got the run around. The sales manager had also told us the truck will be top of the list to getting in for repairs but service says that its not likely for that to happen. May I repeat myself the truck has been in their possession more then my own. To top the whole thing off talking to the owner is a joke and a half cause he won't return calls or email you back. Do freaking better when "running" a dealership and make the customer top priority and not how much money you can bank. Will never deal with the greve family again. Raabe Ford will forever be our go to dealership...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wasnāt going to leave this but after the last conversation I had with Alex, I decided it was needed. I purchased a vehicle through Guaranteed Auto in Celina and dealt with Doug the whole time. Doug was patient, understanding and willing to do anything in his power to help me out. Doug is 5s. But Alex and the lady over the titles at Greve deserve negative stars. I purchased the vehicle May 3rd and will finally be getting my title tomorrow (hopefully) after waiting this whole time. I eventually had to get a lawyer and my local court house involved for them to give me a straight answer. Alex gave me 2 different stories about my title and the lady just acted like she was insulted I had to call and get information about my title. I called the Ohio Attorney Generalās office and was told that I wasnt the only one that has had problems with Greve. I finally got a call from Doug today explaining that my title is being over nighted tonight and should be here tomorrow. My only reason for writing this is the way it was handled after I gave them time. Very disrespectful and rude. Alex couldnāt give me the tracking number for the title to check and see where it was. But when my local courthouse called and asked, they finally told her they had lost the title and was sending it out today. Why couldnāt they tell me that? Why couldnāt they just come clean instead of dragging this on and trying to make me look like a fool. You better have someone type of legal help before purchasing a car from them. Doug-5s...
