Personally I have nothing but APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE for the folks here!!! My 09 Silverado threw 2 codes you would think had nothin to do with each other...SERVICE STABILITRAC and the check engine light come on at the same time and my girl started spitting and sputtering! Back before sensors and computers on vehicles a person(notice the political correctness) would go buy plugs and wires!!! Was told by a GM mechanic that 90% of the time the 2 codes together would be throttle position sensor! So I went with that!!! O'Riellys associate Kyle run diagnostic check and got the codes and checked a website that said the fuel injector on cylinder 7 was bad! Now comes the reason for my 1st google review!!! IN ORDER TO SAVE ME $ AND HEADACHE of replacing inj. he suggested swapping coil packs with cyl 7! No change but good idea Kyle!!! Run diagnostics again this morning with associate Kelly!!! Same results!!! She recommended again to SAVE ME TIME AND $ to change plug!!!(just like the old days) WAY TO GO KELLY!!! Codes cleared my girl is again runnin like she should!!! Needed a spark plug for lawnmower. Took old one with me. They didn't have champion rc14yc. Sold me a rc12yc. Said it would work too. Same thread count so it will fit. Many spark plugs have same thread count. Doesn't mean it will work. So I dive deeper. Take off air filter to get to carburetor. Then I Google, will the 12 work in place of 14? Nope. I called them to explain my frustration. The guy says, didn't know it was on a lawnmower. Really? Because other dude said he used those on his before and it worked. Just a huge THANK YOU from this Dad. My daughter was driving back from Mizzou home coming to Chicago area and the oil light came on. After I had her check the oil level and calm her down that the car wouldn’t explode (haha), I stayed on the phone with her until she reached the O’Reilly store in Vandalia. I’m not sure who helped her but they helped calm her down, assess that she just needed a quart of oil, put the oil in for her and got her back on her way home.
