Shear Paradise Salon — Local services in Venice

Where to start! Debbie and the staff here are hands down the most professional, fun and caring staff in any salon I have visited. I'm a chronic salon jumper constantly in fear of a haircut and took a chance heading to Osprey to see what Shear Paradise had to offer and I AM SO THANKFUL to find this gem of a shop!!! I called to say I was running late for the appointment and the woman who answered the phone was kind and gracious and didn't make me feel bad or uncomfortable (feelings I frequent). I fearfully put my very long damaged hair in Debbie's hands and expressed how nervous I was. She warmly gave suggestions and understood my fear of the big chop. This woman is GOLD. We cut soo much length off, not something I'd normally do, and when it was finished I felt like a million dollars!!!! Debbie's shop will be "my salon" from now on!! I am someone who looks younger than I am, I have tattoos, and not the typical Venice woman to walk into such a pretty salon but I was greeted with warm souls and complimented to the heavens, these folks are incredible and I cannot say enough positive things about them! The salon itself is beautiful I only went to have my eyelashes done and fairy hair. Upon completion of my eyelashes I was expecting to go get my fairy hair done and I was told that was not possible. That I did not book the fairy hair appointment. with that being said , I stated I believe you are mistaken I have it on my phone that I booked an appointment to have fairy hair done for a very very important occasion. She replied I can do it tomorrow well tomorrow is the very very important occasion. Yes people do make mistakes I understand that but this occasion that will occur on Saturday October 2nd is extremely important to me so it has left me debating if it should go back to the salon or find one that can properly schedule time for...

I think it’s extremely unprofessional to completely cancel someone’s appointment when they are running late and are turned around due to construction in the roads in front of the business. We called to ensure it was okay and the receptionist said it was okay, five minutes later when we arrive she tells me she canceled the appointment.
