Although we all value our time, when I experience extraordinary customer service I feel compelled to take the time and write a review.
The last thing that any family returning from vacation wants to find, is their hot water is out, and that their hot water unit is leaking. Realizing that a complete tank rupture is likely, we had to address the issue immediately. The problem was it was Sunday afternoon and we needed a plumber asap.
After contacting a local plumber, and not receiving a return call for hours, I was told that it would take two days to get a replacement unit. Also, the local plumber was happy to simply replace the same size unit rather than attempting to confirm if the unit was really appropriate for our needs. Like most consumers today, we sought to get a second opinion and "shop around" on-line.
What we discovered from the moment that we called Superior Energy was that your company takes a team approach. The coordination that took place was quite surprising. Between Patty, Ann-Marie, Rich, and Mike we experienced a cohesive approach to solving our problem.
Through a rigorous question-and-answer process, Rich gathered enough information to make his recommendations. He initially thought that an on-demand unit, for energy conservation, would be a reasonable fit for us. After spending more than 30 minutes on the phone with us, he concluded that the replacement unit should be a 75 gallon water heater. Once we agreed on the capacity of the water heater, I requested he install a unit from the same manufacturer. After doing his due diligence, he called me back within an hour. He stated that although his supplier carried our original manufacturer, he recommended that based on comparing warranties, availability, and cost he suggested a more appropriate replacement unit.
Once we made the decision to move forward, the installation process could not have gone any smoother. Rich himself, accompanied by Mike were able to install the unit, and we had hot water with in 18 hours from our initial phone call! This is because Anne-Marie and Patty were able to juggle your installation team's schedule to fit us in... Not only did we have a solution to our hot water issue within a very short period of time, the quoted price, was the actual price. There were no surprises....In fact, it was significantly less than the price we had received from a plumber in our own community. Considering that you are located in Vernon, and we live in Simsbury, that made this all the more impressive.

After calling a few of the more prominent propane suppliers and receiving lukewarm responses (maybe we can get a sales guy out there next week.. and I was inquiring about a completely new propane service for my home!) the next company on my call list was Superior.
From the moment they answered, it was apparent Superior was different. Patty (who answered my call) was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. And, as I told her my story and needs it became apparent she had a great sense of humor as well! She listened, asked a few questions and promised her salesperson would call me later that day. Within minutes of finishing that call my phone rang; it was Superior's salesperson Rick!
Rick immediately apologized for not being able to meet me that afternoon (keep in mind, my initial call to Superior was at 3pm on a Friday afternoon!) but asked a bunch of questions about my project and promised to meet me Monday morning.
Rick arrived as scheduled, immediately began exploring the property and assembling the information he needed to understand the complete scope of work. I can say without exaggeration his focus on helping me understand the pros and cons of each of several options was incredible!
After we agreed on the best path forward Rick went back to his office, reviewed the details with his technical folks and the next day I had a firm quote; a quote which (based against quotes for the inside plumbing I already had) was very competitive!
Work included a 500 gallon tank set some 90 feet from the house, gas line from the tank to the house, piping to 5 different locations and conversion and connection of a range and dryer. A lot of work!
The installation team was excellent; Sam (Samantha) was the lead and, working with Mike, she took care to insure the workmanship and execution of every detail met her standards. Rick even stopped by to insure everything was going smoothly and sent me a couple of progress photos!
After installation follow-up was "Superior" as well! Patty called, Rick called and when I mentioned a minor aesthetic issue (one short section of pipe wasn't quite perpendicular and yes, probably no one but me would even notice it!) Sam returned and corrected it the next day!

Read moreNovember 14, 2017 It has been a year since I moved to my home and time to get a new range in preparation for holiday cooking! Superior Energy was there to disconnect the old and connect the new! Mike M. was there right on time and was very helpful in explaining how things worked. He checked everything and made sure everything was safe and working well. Patty from the office followed up the next day to let me know that I had inadvertently sent along an additional blank check. Yikes!! It is so nice to know that there are still honest people in the world and businesses actually watch out for their clients. I will certainly continue to do business with Superior Energy. I also respect and admire their efforts to give back to the community through activities such as pet adoptions and coat drives. There is much to be said for longstanding local businesses that care about their quality, their workers, their clients, and the community they're part of.
Last year at this time..... Finally a company that lives up to it's name - Superior!!!! I believe in supporting local business and my experience with Superior Energy confirms my choice to do this. I was very pleased with the promptness, thoroughness, and quality of service. They provided high quality service with incredible concern and courtesy. The sales representative Rick, was thoughtful and thorough in explaining the service. He went above and beyond to make sure that I received prompt service. Mike M. and Mike H. did a great job of getting me up and going quickly and making sure everything was safe. I felt like I was in good hands. The office staff, Patty, was courteous and thorough with making arrangements and assuring that services met the high quality standards that are important to the company. All members of the team showed concern for a new community resident - what a nice welcome to Vernon!!! That's what local business is all about - neighbors helping neighbors.
