Placed an order for a custom sofa by VIG Furniture through Appliance Connection on Jan 10th. Estimated delivery date was end of April 28th thru May 10th. No information on shipment till April 29th. Called Appliance Connection customer service on April 29th and to my delight they told me the product was to ship the next morning with delivery with 5-10 days. Next morning I get an email indicating the product shipment has been delayed and will now be delivered around the end of June. My CC was charged 2 months ago and now I have to deal with a month and half's delay. I got rid of my existing furniture to make room for the new set, but now will have to live with an empty room for 2 months. All this because VIG could not keep their promised delivery date that was 4 months out! Even worse is I was not given any advance notice of the delay. Decide to call them to ask for replacement parts. They say they are only a wholesaler?? How is that possible when you clearly sell furniture to retail consumers. Their products and prices are reasonable until you have a defected or damaged claims. They apparently only warranty their products for 7 days after shipping.
