Dollar General — Local services in Versailles

The employees are nice and helpful. The 1-star rating has nothing to do with the employees but with the company in general. They only have one register for the whole store and only seem to ever have 1 or 2 people working at once. So any problem with the register or a person with a cart full of items causes a huge line and wait for other customers. They really need to put in a second register and have more people working at once to help customers and stock the shelves. Again this is nothing against the employees. They are very nice, they do the best they can...

Late night trip for a few snacks. Employees welcomed me & did not "rush" my choices or browsing by stating the obvious fact that the store would be closing soon. I chose my "necessary" items & approached the register. The clerk asked if I found everything I wanted & further, asked if there were any items he could assist me to locate. Refreshing! I paid for my items & while leaving the store (& while employees brought in outdoor items to close) was wished a pleasant & safe evening! What a pleasant trip! Will return for more shopping...

The store over all is good but alot of times you have to stand there and wait forever to find an employee to check you out and then they dont really care to take the time to bag your stuff properly. I always seperate the items that go togther and set them togther on the counter to make it easier on the employee at any store i go to. But yet doing that does not work here. I will have my frozen food items mixed in with animal items and so forth. But other then the of lack of common sense with some employees the over all...
