Packrats Thrift Store — Local services in Versailles

While I like thrift stores and garage sales, I found this place a bit overwhelming and speaking just for me, depressing. I don't think this store is run for a charity, nor obtains merchandise by donations. Most thrift stores that do turn their inventory over much quicker, and have sharper prices. While everything is well organized and displayed, and there's lots of soft line stuff (women's and children's clothing in particular) I got a sense any "treasures" had long ago been taken, although honestly, if I'd gone in looking for clothes my opinion would be...

I read a review on this place that I need to correct. The gentleman that wrote it said there were no "treasures" to be found. I'm sorry you weren't able to find something cheap that you could turn around and sell for a large profit. Pack Rats is selling kindness and compassion to their community. Sometimes people in need are blessed by the kindness of strangers and the owners of Pack Rats are good people that would give the shirt off their back if you needed warmth.
