I typically do not leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Columbia Electric Supply in Victoria, Texas. As an electrical contractor, I rely heavily on suppliers who are knowledgeable, professional, and capable of providing the correct parts and materials needed for my projects. Unfortunately, my experience with this company fell far short of those expectations.

I recently purchased parts from Columbia Electric Supply, only to discover that they were the wrong items for the job. What concerns me even more is that this mistake did not appear to be an isolated incident but rather a reflection of a deeper issue within the company’s staffing and operations. It has become evident that the company is employing individuals who lack the necessary knowledge and qualifications to accurately assist customers in the electrical trade.

In conversations with the staff, it was clear that many of them lacked basic understanding of the products they were selling. This led to miscommunications, incorrect orders, and wasted time. As someone who depends on accuracy and professionalism to complete jobs efficiently and safely, this is simply unacceptable.

Additionally, it appears that Columbia Electric Supply is prioritizing low labor costs over hiring experienced, qualified personnel. While this may reduce operating expenses in the short term, it comes at the expense of customer satisfaction, reliability, and professionalism. A supplier in the electrical industry should not cut corners when it comes to the expertise of its staff.
