VeraCruz Restaurant — Restaurant in Victoria

We just moved in to town and we were recommended this restaurant. Absolutely do not eat at this place! The service is bad. Like 3 different people came up to us to ask for our drink order, as if there was no communication between them, and then my boyfriends food came out in parts, like they served half of his food 1st and then the brought out the other half with my food. Most importantly, THE FOOD WAS GROSS. The rice had no color or flavor, beans tasted old, my boyfriend had a tamal in the plate he ordered, and that tasted like dough and cumin. Reason for 3 stars was the food. I got plate #20 wich was Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo or Shrimp With Garlic Mojo. First they serve it in a bown top filled with what it looked like melted butter with just chopped garlic, the shrimps where cooked right. Second, the rice that came with my plate was really undercooked. The charro beans that also came with the plate did not have flavor at all. I dont know about Veracruzan Tortillas but this where really tick (about 3-4 normal ones stack together) and they did needed more time to cook, it was not fully cooked from the inside. Had an amazing experience at this establishment. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Service was beyond friendly and timely from time we entered. Food arrived in a timely manner and presentation of food was awesome. Most importantly food was Hot!! Flavor of food was fantastic, hats off to the cooks!!
