Market Basket — Local services in Vinton

If I could give no stars I would. We purchased food from the deli. We originally went to purchase boudain....rang the bell and waited at the meat counter. No help. As we looked at the Bourdain you could tell it had been sitting for awhile. It had a darker color than fresh meat products. So it was a blessing no one came to help. I don't want to get sick. So we went to the deli...first the clerk barely talked and it was so low I could barely hear her. Second...she didn't want to be there at all you could tell. Be thankful you have a job. We ordered 2 entrees....um yeah pork chops so dry our dog had a hard time chewing. Rice wasn't fully cooked. Black eyes peas barely had flavor and green beans were cold. Nope...

My first time in this store since it re-opened. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the updated architecture of the store. Not to mention, the management was very friendly and professional. Oh yea, the MUSIC selection that’s playing throughout the store is outstanding! Don’t change it! I’m originally from Vinton but have been in Houston since 1994. So I’m used to going to upscale and updated food markets. The people in the Vinton community should be proud of their new hometown...

A nice sized Market in the middle of nowhere that was nicely stocked with just about anything one would need from a Supermarket, prices were a bit high but very good Sale prices...one negative note, one of the display cases had store packaged cooked Chicken Wings and on one of them the chicken had dozens of moldy spots, not the kind thing I would normally buy anyway, but not a positive sign... definitely need to check their prepared...
