Burger King — Restaurant in Vinton

I just stopped at the Vinton Burger King location to get takeout for a long road trip. When I first arrived it was a little busy but not bad. When I went up to the window the cashier had an attitude and asked me to pull over to the side to wait for my order. I waited about 10 minutes then someone came and asked if I had a Whopper and a small fry which I did not. I told them what I had ordered and the guy said I'll be right back. So I waited another 10 to 15 minutes and the guy brought my food out but no drinks. So I told Tim that the lady of the window had not given me my drinks and he asked what I had ordered and I told him. So I waited again for another 10 minutes and nothing. So I backed up to the window and asked the lady at the window if I could get the drinks that came with my order and I showed her my receipt. She said they were out of Sprite which isn't a problem. So I asked her for Fanta. While she was fixing her drinks. I saw the guy that had brought my food out standing waiting for other orders. Not even attempting to get the drinks that I'd ask him to get 10 minutes prior. After receiving my drinks I had pulled out to start my long road trip and I stopped on the side to get my food and my little boy's food ready to eat. When I open my Whopper it was disgusting. Old and cold. Didn't have any grill marks and it had this weird bubble texture on the burger. I didn't even eat it even though I'm starving. Everything else was fresh. Just a burger was really gross and being a hat a long trip I was not going to turn around and ask for a refund from these people when they had an attitude already just to get $5 back on a burger. If y'all decide to go to Burger King go to a different location. I would not recommend this location to anybody if you have to pass the border into Texas and go...

When we arrived, we weren't sure they were open. There was not a car in the parking lot other than ours and there was a sign that said, "Under New Management - Now hiring all positions." When we walked in I went to find a clean table whild my wife went to the restroom, and there weren't any. Also found out there were no changing tables, so we had to take our 15 month old out to the car and change him in the back seat. A couple of cars came through the drive thru and another family walked in. My wife came back so I went up to place our order. I got our drink cups, and the machine was out of nearly every flavor, mainly the popular ones, Coke, Sprite, etc. The machine was also filthy. My wife wanted a regular Coca-cola so I asked for them to get her one from the drive thru fountain. They did so, but it had some kind of citrus fruit flavor, which she did not care for. We ate and went to throw the trash away and the can was full. The employee I had contact with was friendly and helpful, but the lady who seemed to be in charge did not seem very friendly in the few interactions I saw, which I will chalk up to a rough day I assume. Anyway we won't be back at least for a while. Hope the new management can get things going in the right direction...

+Review updated June 6, 2025+ After over a year of bad experiences by my family and I, and hearing every comment from locals and travelers about our local Burger King, it appears they have turned things around? I have personally eaten from the Vinton, LA Burger King several times in the last couple of months, and I must give credit where credit is due. I had a Bacon King, and it was hot and fresh, as well as delicious. My friend had a Whopper, and other than the bun being weird (it was falling apart as he was holding it and trying to eat it from the first bite) it was decent. Not the best and not up to par with how it should have been. It's Burger King's number one seller, and what they are known for. So it's disheartening when you get and eat a Whopper that's not great! I got an order of "Have-sies", which is an order of half fries and half onion rings (yes, it really is a thing), and I tried to eat them but they were not hot and fresh but cold and hard. Other than that, it was a vast Improvement from what it was not that long ago. They should keep improving and hopefully we will have a great Burger King, like we...
