Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Vinton

As far as the product, it serves the same items as any other Sonic, and tastes as you'd expect it to. Being one of the few fast food restaurants in town, I frequent this establishment quite often. At least once a week I'll grab a burger, and some chicken tenders for the kids, because it's quick. Tonight, 4/4/19, was no different, but after ordering my food I pulled up to the window, and waited for 8 minutes before even being acknowledged. I figured they were busy, or were having issues, and when the cashier finally made it to me she confirmed it was the latter. Their PC system crashed, and she was extremely apologetic, and accommodating, while letting me know that it may be a while. She was very nice, offering me the food while the manager was trying to get their system back up. I explained to her that the wait was not concern, nor was eating, but feeding my kids waiting on me at home. She said I could pay cash if I had it, which I did not, and I told her so. She apologized again before telling me she was going to speak to the manager to find a solution. When she came back I was told there'd be no charge for my food, 2 chicken strip dinner combos, a wacky pack, a double cheeseburger, and a corndog all free of charge. While I wasn't extremely comfortable receiving so much for nothing at all, I'd to get home to feed my hungry babies. My local Sonic Drive-In, in my humble opinion, is one of the best around! No joke, and I'm being 100% real. I have used the Sonic App so I could order and pay for the food ahead of time (which is extremely easy and a huge time-saver), placed an order at one of the stalls, as well as ordered through the drive-thru, and I must say that my orders always come out, hot and fresh, and on time! The employees are friendly, and helpful. The property is clean and maintained. Their ice cream/shake machines are NEVER out of order! There always seems to be something new and different to try! Keep up the good work, Sonic Drive-In of Vinton, Louisiana! I, for one, thank you!!

UPDATE: My local Sonic, here in Vinton, Louisiana, only gets better! I placed an order using the Sonic app a little after 9:00 pm and I must say this, using the Sonic is just as easy and quick as always! It is so convenient to place your order at your own pace, customizing each part of your order is so easy, selecting the time that you want to pick it up, and pre-paying for. That way, all you have to do is pull into any available stall at that Sonic, check in using the app by indicating the stall number you are at, and your order comes out to you correct,...

We eat here often because I'm out little town there aren't many options (but I would probably chose Sonic even if there was because I've always loved their burgers). The food is usually very good and is prepared as ordered. I've started using the app to order though, I always feel as if they're in a rush to take my order and sometimes cut me off while I'm speaking and also they repeat the order back so fast, I can't always understand what they're saying to know if the order they took is correct. For the most part everyone there is super friendly and professional. There are a few who have their moments but not so bad that I wouldn't go back because of them. They're just moody teenagers so I chock it up to that and go on about my day/night. The bosses must be ok to work for because there's quite a few employees that have been there for a while and that's not always the case in fast food.
