Picktown Palooza — Local services in Violet Township

We had bought tickets to the event to see Dokken who was supposed to play Saturday evening. First off parking in close proximity to the venue is non-existent as event is in residential area. We had to park about 1/2 mile away. Before we get to entrance we notice gravel lot in front of stage.Who does that? I have been too many outdoor concerts and have never seen such a horrible venue for an event such as this. We go to entrance ask if chairs are available for rent etc..No of course not. We decide to go ahead and try to attend. We pondered going to walmart 15 m away to get chairs to haul in.The band that was playing when we arrived was downright awful . They were playing great songs and it would have been cool if the singer tried could carry a tune.We opted to get a couple lemonades and an elephant ear and leave.What a waste.Even though this event is only a couple years going it still should be enough time to see that gravel in front of stage doesn't work. Whoever us in charge of event should go to other festivals and get a clue...

Awesome gathering, great music for us "old" rockers 🤘👩🏼‍🎤🤘 We have met others that we run into year after year and without this event, we would have never met!! We love coming out for Picktown Palooza!! The changes this year were kinda nice without the large groups of teens gathering and causing issues. Kudos to the staff for following the custodian guidelines because we heard a group coming in near us that the adult was taking responsibility for his "niece" that he just met walking in. They were stopped at the gates (due to too many juveniles with 1 adult)... I'm sure some weren't happy, but some of us appreciate...

My family's 2nd year coming to pictown palooza, So far it has been an Awesome experience I Love all the Eighties bands there should be no family friendly rules If Parents bring their kids the adults already know the songs and kids don't really listen or care they're having fun and with their Parents.I hope this can be a continuous yearly outing for us (we love the Eighties rock)but the food is way to expensive and drink to be able not to bring coolers.Other than...
