before doing your event here think twice I did my baby's first birthday here and it was 2-4 we arrived at 2 in the afternoon the door to the room was closed they opened it at 2:10 and we started to decorate in my room it had capacity for 30 people and just because some of the parents were outside in the hallway talking a girl came to say that there were too many of us and that we had to pay for more space I explained to her that no and I kept bothering her with the same thing I even told her account the people we had to pay for an extra space that we didn't need because she came and came they never let us enjoy the place.
I think it is illogical that babies under 2 years old are playing on the playground without their parents' supervision. They wanted us to pay more money just to watch the children play. An adult is not using the play area, they are only watching their babies. It is ridiculous. We pay anyway, but it is ridiculous to pay for an adult who is only watching their baby play. Literally pay for your child and let him be there alone playing.
Then we were packing up to leave and these 2 girls came to start lifting table by table and throwing everything away, apart from that they came to open the room 10 minutes late they literally kicked us out, in my experience I feel that it is not worth having an event here, I felt discriminated against and harassed because they were the only ones who treated us like that, they didn't come to the event next door to say anything, they never communicated with the event organizer they always told everything to the guests what an ugly thing, it's true we had a very bad time everything in the end we paid extra for things that we didn't need because she opened the entire other room and the side that she made me pay for we never used it not even the hundreds or tables, it was only paid because she was annoying she never told that there were less people than the room capacity.
We also have friends and family who already have a membership playing in the playground and she just kicked them out of the place without asking, she just said you have to pay in front when I didn't ask if they have a membership, once again this feels horrible because they were children with a membership and they couldn't defend themselves, we felt discriminated against and harassed by these 2 women, the experience was horrible, many of my friends who were thinking of renting the place when they saw that decided not to do it because they saw how badly we were treated.
I understand that you have a job to do but be nice, ask, speak to the event organizer, not the guests, count the people, don't just ask for more and more money, don't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat place. I was there during the first opening back in 1977 as a kid.
Even though this one is smaller, itās more efficient with space. Sign of the future and progress. Nice and clean.
Love how the vending machines were changed to more healthier options.
The beverages are at the perfect coldness which is how I like it.
Some lockers near pool area should be free. Even the old rec center didnāt make you pay to use the lockers.
Feels like you getting nickeled and dimed just for trying to get healthy. Why canāt people bring their own padlocks like yesteryears?
Thank god the bathroom doors donāt need a quarter.
A law enforcement officer is used occasionally during the basketball schedule, makes the place feel like a prison yard. Sad sign of our times I guess. Not a good look.
The only thing I hate is the inner entrance.
Seriously? Everybody has to come thru practically 1 door at the same time?
Whoever approved that design needs to be fired!
Majority of the time you have to bump into people trying to exit or enter.
Didnāt they give any consideration to the disabled and elderly?
My elderly mom who had trouble walking almost always gets practically knocked over by more able-bodied younger people thru that slim entrance.
Make a secondary entrance or get rid of the sliding door and make it double the width.
Common sense people.
Just not smooth doing the studder step dancing when trying to get in.
I suggest they remove the other exit door or prop it open to allow a smoother experience when coming and going.
The old double sliding doors back in the day were way better.
When I see the entrance, I am just befuddled on what the heck they were thinking.
How about construct an entrance door on the right side of all that secondary glass wall near the health check area.
Only thing inefficient about that whole building.
You should also be able to exit any door without an ear piercing alarm as if you broke out of a bank vault.
Come on, are they decorations or just emergency exits. You can still keep these precious delicate doors locked from the outside. Pretty ridiculous.
Overall, a great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow. I'm impressed to say the least. I had high expectations from just looking at the building and for the most part this place didn't disappoint. I was able to visit the pool and get a couple miles logged for my virtual swimathon for cancer. The lifeguard staff was especially kind, notably the sweet Myla. However, I was taken a fright. I could hear ominous footsteps and feel their reverberations throughout the water as I swam. As I finished the next lap my curiosity (fight or flight at this point) forced me to find the cause of this supernatural occurrence. It wasn't hard to figure it out. A HUGE MAN, otherworldly BIG. I had a terrible knot in my stomach. I could SENSE the fear in the room, the lifeguards were trembling with their whistles in their mouths. He was getting closer. Waves were mounting. Several patrons knelt and bowed before him, offering sandwiches, chips and pizzas. He gladly and rightfully accepted. It was the calm before the storm, the waves stopped, tensions fell. He put the offerings down with ease, I was able to finish what was left of my Swimathon for Cancer, as I was finishing the UNTHINKABLE happened. A soul-shaking, bosom-booming, quantum force rendering BELCH unleashed through the atmosphere. My ears bled. My stomach clinched. My brain turned to static, and the waves unleashed. To say this man was the boss is an understatement, he was a dictator of storms who obviously listens less than he barks and belches. Other parts of the facility were not so kind, for instance the basketball court. The employees could improve a lot there, for instance by actually working! What a waste of tax payer money, but I guess it's better than selling drugs to my kids. Honorable mention to Matthew, a very sweet kid with a lot to learn. Had a nice conversation with him on the pool deck about our savior,...
