When a patron is bit in this establishment- and the bite goes through their pants- and places a literal hole in their leg- and you call in to get an incident report just to make sure the animal was vaccinated- so the person on the telephone (Tammy or Cammie) first tries to tell you " I think you have the wrong establishment. We are an icecream shop. A dog? Here?" So you give them their business name and location and remind them they service dogs- then they follow up with "I have been here all day and no such thing happened"- it shows character. The heck with the person who got bit and may have to do a series of rabies treatment all because you wanted to attempt to CYOA. Well- now we have had to file a complaint with Animal Services - will be reaching out to the parent company of this franchise and going through them- and will I guess have to get in touch with the State Attorney general since they care less about an innocent victim. Customers - I imagine this place could be GREAT for the fur babies- but be careful going here.
**I have an UPDATE- My daughter in law was certainly at this establishment when she walked in to ask Grace if they sold yak sticks. Immediately upon leaving- my DIL had an appointment and when she went to her appointment - they assisted her at cleaning up the bite and blood. She later went to the ER and everything has been documented. While under going the precautionary rabies series, sadly she miscarried (medical documentation for that as well). I have not stated ANYTHING false- and Cammie was immediately notified and was told to archive ALL of their videos footage. This has caused unnecessary stress- as we JUST wanted to know if the dog that bit was up to date on their vaccines. NOTHING can make my DIL and son whole over this horrific and traumatizing incident. We haven't even gotten an apology for the egregious conduct from the owner. That's okay- it would be irrelevant and fake at this point. I went by and took photos of the establishment showing they have cameras- and again this is notice to archive the videos from that day (unedited). This is far from over- and I will be back when it is time for...
Read moreI want to start off by stating that the atmosphere is wonderful. The people are very friendly. They have a variety of snacks for dogs and ice cream. Of course the staff is very welcoming but the reason I have to leave this review is not to potentially harm this business because regardless, it is a great company and a great idea but unfortunately, three days ago, I brought my frenchie pup (3 month old) and hopefully this brings awareness to the staff members as well as the potential clients with this particular breed of dog.
It was our first time there l and he got the ice cream but ever since we left, he’s been having constant diarrhea blood in his stool and I wasn’t concerned at first because you know ice cream makes everybody use the bathroom until it was on going to the point where he couldn’t even digest his food
. The ingredients state that it is dog friendly, but in this case, it was not good for this breed of dog. I hope this brings awareness in education to the owners or staff and prevention for this happening to any other puppies or dogs, such as breed warnings, age warnings, or whatever the...
Read moreI recently took my grand pup to Salty Paws Chic's Beach, and he had an absolute blast celebrating his third birthday - he celebrated his second birthday here as well! Whoever came up with the concept of celebrating our furry friends in this way has truly tapped into something special. The ambiance and atmosphere of this establishment are simply amazing.
But what really stood out were the team members, Bry and Leah. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel incredibly welcome. Their enthusiasm and genuine love for what they do shine through in every interaction. They embody the saying, "if you love what you do, it isn't work," and their knowledge of the products was a huge plus.
Bry and Leah are true assets to Salty Paws. Their affable personalities, combined with their care and compassion, will undoubtedly keep customers coming back. Kudos to these ladies for making our visit so enjoyable –...
