The Wild West Days — Local services in Viroqua

Very disappointed, guess it's true what they say, nothing stays the same. Was on the committee back in 2002. We planned the whole year long, not just the week before. Been away for many a year and was looking forward to seeing some old friends and exploring the grounds, but no such luck. Even though all the signs around town and the area in general indicated the Wild West Days would be August 15 thru the 18th, it was not. The wife and I decided to go today, the 16th, but they weren't open. Talked to a woman who drove an hour to get there with her three kids only to find out she wasted her time. I felt sorry for her and her children. But I'm not surprised, been driving past the grounds a couple of times a week for the last month and didn't see any activity until four or five days ago. What a shame to see Docs legacy go...

I have never see such an amazing group of volunteers put on such a great show for charity. They are a community/family friendly based event. This happens every 3rd weekend in Aug. in a small town called Viroqua,WI. It's amazing to think that there is two towns in one for one weekend only. Now that's something I've never done before. I was waiting for a return call from them with some very important questions that would have been a plus to help them in numerous ways. Since they never called me eight of us decided to go to another event where we had a blast . Maybe someday they would like to hear my ideas that were a success many times over that would have fit in their type of program...
