Gasser’s Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Viroqua

Before leaving this review I would like to preface that I was excited to go and eat at gassers. When coming to gassers I order a blt with a side of fries, when receiving my food I was met with it my entire meal fries includes being cimd, the bacon on my sandwich if I could even call it that was in little pieces leaving me already not satisfied, and that was just the first order. Next my second order that was supposed to be a ruban , came out as a pizza ig??? I should say that our waitress wasn’t even aware that it was a pizza. It was obviously not what we had intended, but what came out was just beyond strange and baffling. On top of the pizza was sweet pickle slices already confusing, then a thick layer of Kobe Jack cheese on top of soggy bread drenched in thousand island dressing sauce and ruban chunks. to say we weren’t satisfied would be a understatement but I’ll leave it at that let’s get to the service and atmosphere. The service we received well dinning at gassers was not what I would call good. Yes this could be a result of them being quite busy but our waitress was one of three people doing their job that I could notice. We sat there waiting for around 20 minutes, and at that point we were debating if we should leave right before we did finally receive our menus and got asked what to drink. I don’t know I should say that we were so unsatisfied that we ultimately decided not to take anything to go and have decided in the future to probably not dine out here. In the past gassers has been a very good place to eat, sad to see that the service and food here has gone downhill in recent months. I’d rate zero if I could everything about my experience...

Very rude staff. Came in late night to grab a bloody before home for the night. Walked in sat at the bar and asked for a bloody not spicy. Was told no i needed a water first, mind you i didn’t have my dentures so i slur my words naturally due to not having any teeth in. Finished my water and the bartender was purposely ignoring us. He gave the guy i was with a drink then filled my water again still refusing to serve me a bloody mary without any legit reason. So i Drank my second glass of water and again again bartender was not attention to me until he saw me taking a drink from my friends drink. No legit reason to deny me service other then the fact he judged from the minute i sat at the bar. He saw that i took a drink of my friends and threw out my friends drink and threatened to call the cops if we didn’t leave. At this point he still did not give a legitimate reason even after 2 glasses of water that he said i needed before having a bloody. This was not our first time having issues with rude staff. Mind you im in my early 30s and from lacrosse and have never been treated and judged so poorly my...

Wanted to like this little place.. but.. sadly the food failed. Because of staffing issues was told that it would be 45-60 minutes get food. Ok.. get that these days. Ordered some cheese curds which were pretty good. Nice start. But it went downhill from there.

But ordered a burger RARE. After an hour and 25 minutes of waiting got a well done burger. I mean.. dry.. completely brown, well done. I usually like them medium rare but order rare because burgers are always overcooked. But ordering a rare and getting a hockey puck of a burger, not good.

My buddy ordered a Philly Cheese steak that was supposed to have meat/cheese/peppers/mushrooms/onions. Not much meat in it. And NO onions, no peppers, no mushrooms. I mean NONE and had to search for the cheese. Dry. Overall a sad redition of a philly.

The fries were lukewarm at best as well. Obviously sitting in a heater for a while. Sadly I cannot recommend this place. I would have had a better burger at Culvers next door for half the price. Go elsewhere and...
