From the first time we made the phone call and spoke with India, I knew this was going to be a fun family experience. We had a busy schedule and she offered to open the establishment early by taking an earlier booking to meet us around 11:15. From the moment we arrived, we were asked some questions and had to sign a waiver of liability in case you kick the bucket inside and they weren't responsible. This is all typical and understood so a business protects themselves from crazy people in this world.
We "attempted" to tackle Cell Block E and weren't successful. The establishment was extremely clean and the set up was put together extremely well. They do offers hints but I was adamant about trying to figure out everything myself lol. The props and mechanisms are well constructed and very methodical in nature as objects would fall from hidden nooks and cranny's and doors would open with rewards for more challenges. You certainly will not be bored in the room we attempted. The price for an hour of time, seems adequate and reasonable for the set up and experience you will receive.
I would recommend when the establishment isn't busy, to perhaps have some ability to extend the time if the customer elects to do so. Maybe offer another 30 minute slot or 1 hour slot at a discounted rate. It might be more enticing for customers to want to finish what they started, instead of returning another time and rushing through the room to get where the continuation of the room was to only find out, "Oh we were only 10 minutes from escape".
We will...
Read moreDisappointed! We did the Cell Block room with just 2 ppl. There were a couple things that made the room impossible. There is a code to input but whatâs on the tablet as a clue is not what the actual arrows say. Had we not been given the answer, it wouldnât have made sense to think of that. We passed thank eventually got to a part where we needed 5 magnets (which we found). The host (sleepy guy) just told us the answer to which guard to look into but the 5th magnet was broken which we identified but he stopped responding. There was a part where we had to dial a number but we dialed it at least 3 times. Each time it said ânumber disconnectedâ. Then he gave me a a clue saying âdial until it ringsâ to which magically it rings the next time. Why would we know to dial it that many times? Eventually we ran out of time because it was no way to proceed to the last 3 things to unlock. The guyâs response âooooh Iâm sorry, I donât know what happened to it!â Donât waste money on this room. It was fun, but disappointing to literally have no chance to escape because of...
Read moreWe had tons of fun!! My husband and I took my 14 yr old niece for her first escape room and she loved it! We did Cell Block C and didn't escape, it was def difficult but super fun and challenging, unique way to spend time and have fun using your brain! The lady helping was great and very nice and friendly. The set up and props were top quality, enjoyed this one more than the one we did in DC. So happy there's great stuff in waldorf and we don't have to drive an hour away anymore. The bad thing is it's very expensive for such little time. We were having so much fun I would have paid to extend our time or even come back next week! Highly recommend making it cheaper or giving discounts for ppl to come back, you would have a ton of ppl coming back more. Unfortunately as much as I would love to come back sooner, can only afford 1-2 a year...
