Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Maryland

I order from this location a lot and every time is a new issue- unless the owner is there. The guy with the curly wave helped everyone and saw me standing in the front. He cleared the lobby and went to the back to talk to the short girl, who also works there. After a while of him not even acknowledge that I’m standing there- I asked him whether he was going to help me. He came to the front, I then gave him my name. He gave me the smoothies I ordered and didn’t even bother to ask me if I needed or have anything else. He proceeded to help the next customer, I asked him for the food I also ordered, he then went to the back and grabbed it. Although he saw I was dissatisfied with his customer service, not once did he apologize! This man continues to give horrible customer service every time I step in to that location. I purchased food and smoothies at least twice a week for my office and the minimum is always $50. This may not be a lot to him, at the end of the day, we all are working people and my time should be valued when I place an order and spend my time to go pick it up! He needs to be reprimanded because this is an issue I encountered every time I step in to...

Tropical Smoothie Cafe Lenardtown, RD .... I called this my "Hidden Gem". I lived in Waldorf for 7 years and always saw the restaurant (but never tried their foods).... Earlier in 2022, I started my "healthy eating" journey to lose weight and get my health back in order. I was very consistent in preparing my own smoothies at home in the morning to take to work for morning breakfast.

One morning running late for work, I had no time to prepare my morning smoothie. Remebering Tropical Smoothie (which I have to pass by on my commute/drive to work), I googled their number, asked for the Employee's recommendation on a great tasting smoothie, and took his suggestion placing my order over the phone.

Since trying their Smoothies, some days now I purposely skip making my morning smoothies and order one from Trop. Smooth. I even have their ordering app now. 🤣... Me and my daughter just went for a smoothie w/Flatbread sandwiches for lunch.

All in all, great customer service, very reasonable prices, great tasting food and smoothies, and a healthier and preferred meal option over my old favorite quick meal stop (the place of "Golden Arches" ).

I would give this place a 5 but something has happened with management or employment at this location. Rude customer service and no regard to repeat guest. I accidently sent my order to the wrong store. I was told by management that I had to pay again and order at their store and hope that management at the other would refund me. I understood, because it was my fault, but I order here almost daily and I would think a small exception could have been made. My next visit I was greeted but the back crew was the issue. The gentleman making the food and another lady kept looking at me and laughing. It may have been nothing but when I don't feel comfortable with you, I don't want you making my food, so I cancelled order and left. I've always felt welcomed here and usually order online and they know my name and would just hand me my order but the good service no longer exists and it usually starts...
