I have been training at this gym for approximately 4 months. It is literally the best gym experience I have ever had in my 35 years of working out..Wes is a phenomenal dedicated trainer. He is interested in making his clients healthier and fitter. He is very careful about any mechanical problems you might have so as not to make them worse. His exercise routines are designed to improve your strength and conditioning but not cause joint or back problems that were not present before. He takes a very serious and personal approach with each of his clients and designs your workouts to your personal abilities and goals. It is not a one size fits all cookie cutter type of training session. He has made a huge difference for me personally with regard to strength conditioning fitness and even weight loss.. I give him my highest recommendation. If I was able to give him 6 stars I would. In addition the gym is spotless and clean and very hygenic. I have been trained by Wes for over 2 years and he has been a powerful force for change in my physical as well as mental approach to fitness and training. He was and is the catalyst for inspiring my quest to take my degree of fitness to the next level. His enthusiasm and love of working out is contagious. It is obvious how much he loves his role in helping others attain better health and an improved quality of life. He has tailored sessions of functional strength and aerobic exercise for me to mix up the work outs, always keeping things fresh and exciting. He pushes you. At the end of the session, you feel another hill has been climbed, another obstacle overcome and a challenge met and completed! The music he plays is a welcome addition to the training session. My main reason for writing another review is to discuss the serious way he and his wife keep the gym in pristine and hygienic shape; paying close attention to maintaining an environment that is clean and makes you feel safe. Read moreOver last three years, I have tried several gyms in the area and 2 different personal trainers until December 2017 when I visited LaRoss gym and met Wesley (Personal Trainer/Owner). I can truly say that my focus, my training regiment, my goals and my commitment to fitness has been altered by working out at LaRoss Gym and Wes. Below are few reasons for a 5+ rating:
First a very clean gym with all new equipment needed for appropriate training (Clean mats (very imp.), TRx straps, Kettle Balls, resistance bands, rollers, cardio and weight equipments , etc...)
A personal trainer (Wes) who takes the time to understand personal goals, personal challenges and works hard to make sure his clients stay on goal, understand and learn proper techniques without causing any injuries. He also keeps you on target, for example, I wanted weight loss and now I’m in muscle growth mode (after losing 40+ lbs).
He taught me that I didn’t have to do hours of cardio to keep the weight off instead he moved me to HIIT, Tabata and Functional training once a week to maintain my muscle growth along with keeping fat off...... I was never into 60-minutes functional training but have found them really fun and effective with Wes.
If you are a busy professional like me along with personal priorities (kids with sports, etc.), I find it easy to get the LaRoss gym because Wes and the team at LaRoss are extremely flexible in moving personal sessions to accommodate travel schedules, etc.
Lastly, I can’t say enough about joining a gym with no gimmicks but working with Wes who doesn’t have a personal motive. His motive is customer service which means keeping customers stay on goal and making sure customers see progression during their fitness journey.

Read moreLaRoss Gym is different than any other gym I've been to. It is a unique personal training gym concept versus an open gym concept. Unlike a typical gym where there are multiple people working out at the same time, when you go to LaRoss gym you typically are the only one there and you are working one-on-one with the trainer. Occasionally there is another person using the cardio machines. Wesley works with each client based on his/her needs so when you go for your training session it is geared specifically for you. I've worked with Wesley for just over a year and my cardio conditioning and strength has improved tremendously. I am much healthier than I was even though I had been fairly active and working out. In addition to training sessions I can go to the gym to do cardio sessions on my own. Wesley knows how to push me to do my best and encourages me along the way.
He knows how to work with any injuries or health-related issues you have by designing your sessions to address them. He will do additional research and even talk with your Physical Therapist or doctor if you give him permission to ensure that your program strengthen what you need given your injuries or limitations. Even if you are a healthy client you are not going to get a cookie-cutter program that he did with the client right before you. It is tailored to your goals and what you have previously done that week!
