Place has been here forever but doesn’t know how to operate as a pizzeria (and restaurant). A Friday night in NJ is gonna be busy. We waited IN the store almost 40 minutes for our order after calling ahead to place it. Front of pizzeria was flooded with customers just waiting. No smiles from the staff and no updates on orders. Had to keep asking order status. To make matters worse, the door to the restaurant HITS every person that goes in or out ... imagine that carrying pizza boxes or trays of hot food?? Finally got home to eat the food we waited about an hour to eat (traveling to pick it up and come back home) and find out the gnocchi came from a package. It was dense and gummy and you could tell it was not homemade, and even if it wasn’t, it wasn’t cooked properly. Lastly, the meatball “parmesen” sandwich had NO cheese. You heard that right. No provolone or mozzarella. Meatballs, sauce and bread. It’s not worth calling to complain as we were not prepared to wait for another hour for food, and we definitely didn’t want a voucher to come back for a free whatever they would offer. Place was a mess. Old and run down and VERY poorly run and managed. Others will disagree here with me because this is their “normal pizza spot” but we won’t be coming back here. No upkeep has been done on this restaurant in 20 years. The waitresses have to use the soda machine in the front of the restaurant to get drinks for tables in the back. I had to move out of the way many times so the waitresses could get to the drink machine. Very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this pizza...
Read moreThey have the best pizza in the area ( I sometimes think even the best in NJ). I am picky about my pizza, so no one else even comes close. In my book, the crust & sauce are the keys to great pizza. Their crust is the best! Flavorful and just the right texture...Not tasteless or too doughy like other places. The sauce on the pies are delicious and they put just the right amount on. Their Margarita is a little different and soooo delicious. Nice tomato pieces and flavorful. The eggplant parmesan pie is scrumptious. Their plain pie which we get most of the time is amazing. When we get onions on the plain, the onions are just the right texture, not too raw, not too overdone. The owner and workers are very accommodating and polite too. For a pizza lover/addict, this is the...
Read moreI hate to ever be the barron of leaving a bad review let alone a negative on a local staple, but this place just isnt the same anymore. Quality has always declined and seems like the owner just isn't paying attention enough anymore, not even to employees
Pizza is and probably will be the only saving grace. Please take criticism and understand if want people back, need to improve a lot especially on the food. Nobody wants frozen ravioli or being treated nonexistent
P.S: Avoid coming in on Friday nights as will be waiting a long time for food unless there's not a...
