I've been with this hospital, Allemang, Michael Cline, since 2019, and they both have been a big help fixing my feeding tube when I needed help . They both took me in as their patient, helped me when no one else would help me , Also I remember first time meeting Allemang he told me to keep fighting and advocate for myself ,michael cline when I first met him he told me and my mom a funny joke. They both helped me manage my gastroparesis, and I was able to eat in 2019 .Later down the line, michael cline sent me to get my intestines, stomach fixed in 2020, which saved my life even though I ended up not able to eat afterward .Also I know the hospital is different than what it use to be, but I still give this hospital 5 stars and plus the hospital er took out my mom's stitches quick in the past, my mother likes allemang she said he is a good doctor and I give Matthew Allemang, Michael Cline a 1000 stars instead of 5 . They both have helped me ever since then , If Allemange thinks he did nothing well, then it was teamwork . I did a part and so did him and the rest of team but if it wasn't for allemang fixing the leak and bleeding when another hospital caused it to happen to me and also fixing the feeding tube, removing my gastric pacemaker, also treating my acute anemic shock on October 21st from the first surgery then me asking for him to help and him rushing back to help do the second surgery that was life or death on the 28th of October to get the infection out of my stomach . I would have probably not been here, but I am still here , Allemang managed to put up with my ignorant dont know nothing family , also he put up with me the whole entire time from me being stressed out to being upset and his nurse stephanie come up to the room to calm me down, their is no nurse or doctor that would of done that but they did it thank you, I thank her so much for the drawing/coloring book it gave me something to do and relaxed me. Thanks again, my friend . Allemang even came every day to check up on me and made me smile except Saturday, Sunday, because he dont work on these days but had good people on them days to check up on me, doctor grubic and the surgical team help make me smile too. I will never forget the doctor name grace thank you for the beautiful blanket it kept me warm at the hospital and at the other hospital , you will always be my friend, I hope one day we run in to eachother , also thank you for taking your time to come out and seeing me at my appointment. I appreciate what everyone did for me . Even though I have a lot of health problems and been through a lot over the years . But I thank God for allowing me to have an awesome, amazing group of medical staff and doctors for helping me.There's is no one better than my buddy Allemang. I trust him more than any other doctor that does for gastroparesis ,stomach surgeries and my life.Lastly, I thank my friend jahamey who is the infectious disease doctor for his funny jokes and cheering me up and making me smile and laugh. leonard bates thanks for coming to check up on me even when you injured yourself , but Now I am back at home after being In hospital for 2 months , I'm now able to eat some foods again it's been 4 to 5 years since I ate anything just was on feeding tube only thank you all for helping me for granting my Christmas wish for me to eat again even though it can reverse back to not eating well im eating now .I recommend Allemang, Also Michael Cline to anybody with gastroparesis . The best doctors ,staff by the way alot of doctors don't know much about gastroparesis or feeding tubes like Allemang and Michael Cline do, also they care so much about their patients too Sincerly Love Dayshonna (Day) update june 27,2025 now I'm 90 lbs was always stuck in the 60s and 70s never could go past 76 but I finally did never thought I would my goal is to get to 100,still on tube feeds ,still eating some foods,for...
Read moreAll doctors surgeons specialists were wonderful. They went above and beyond to get the tests done to get answers. There were three people who should not be working there. I could mention names but I won’t. They must be short staffed. One of the aids: I asked her for water at 10:30 am, I was dizzy and had to have assistance to get up per doc’s orders. At 11:50 am I got water. About 45 minutes she came in to tell me they had a life or death situation and I would have to wait for water. I was off my iv’s and they all told me to drink lots of fluids! When she stood there telling me and my visitors what was wrong with the person; I told her you better get to your emergency! She violated HIPPA! She left the room and came back much later and refilled my water. She than started to argue with me telling me when there’s a crisis I have to wait. I said I was ordered to drink plenty of fluids from doctors and nurses. I was off ivs at that time. I had also requested an ice pack. I was using ice packs since I was there on my incisions. I then told her that I understand that she has emergencies but in the time she stood there to argue she could have filled the water. I said IF there was a life and death situation why was she wasting time explaining to me what happened? I told her I was trying to drink plenty of fluids per my nurse and docs instructions and she then said “I asked your nurse and she did not tell you to drink fluids”! She also said you need an order to get ice pack refilled!! Wow my visitors and I were in shock!! I told her I’ve been on ice packs since my admission! She knew that. She wanted to argue! She said well I don’t know what you are going to do with ice packs bc you may put it on your head for your headache. I said so? She left and nurse came in and listened and said I’m sorry this happened bc I had told the aid I was checking out earlier. She said what can I do to make it better? I said I have ice and water but since I had passed out before ambulance took me I had to wait so long to pee bc I had to ring for everything. She said they ask you via speaker what we need and she was not aware light was on for an hour. I said they turn it off and then no one comes. Anyway they are short staffed but that aid should be fired. Housekeeper that’s another story! Three people out of multiple aren’t bad. The nurse who was rude was rude with her body language! I hope I don’t have to go back bc they are too busy to...
Read moreMy suggestions for a multiple day stay on the 6th floor in the medical ward at south ponte hospital: Ear plugs (or ear phones, preferably noise cancelling ones and long charging cord or two for electronics) Eye-covers for sleeping (ones that will protect your eyes from flashes of bright light from all directions). Full bottomed underwear. Lose the pee pad on the bed (dont worry, their mattress will be fine - it's IsoTeck by Stryker). Home blanket/sheet - their fabric is not very soft. A towel or ask them for warm cleaning pads if you dont want to shower there. A comfortable pillow - their pillows are the slippery plastic variety. To get food earlier - order through the link on the menu or call the number on the menu before the cutoff times. Foodwise, it's up to your taste, I enjoy the sandwiches and soups (their broths are really good btw, but they only fill the cups half way); I've heard the same person order a chicken salad twice in a row, so that's probably good; the juices are nice, but the cups are tiny (4oz); sweetswise i saw jello and italian ice - all in all the food is pretty good by my standards. CCF has exceptionally quick labs for blood work/pathology and imaging/radiology, it is a commendable achievement. Next step is to figure out how to draw blood without piercing a new hole in a patient three times a day. Last but not least, sure i can point out a whole bunch of improvements, but who am i? I'm not the legal department, im not dealing with feces, i'm not burning out. I hope you get a wonderful, rested nurse and resident who will look after you. Unfortunately they follow the rules set by CCF just like Kaiser, for example, and they dont deviate or bend them too much no matter what seemingly, so it's imperative that you have a competent advocate on your side, if you're a patient, so they (the advocate) can reason with the staff logically. Because they are a bit understaffed and of course some perhaps are on the verge of burnout just as some patients and their families are on edge and frustrated and i get how frustrating it is both as a patient and staff trying to help but having to follow protocol - for this i have no advice, some people handle it, some breakdown - i understand both and i think there's a better way to approach healthcare, but...
