NO STAR RATING Had a crop appointment scheduled for a friday but clinic rescheduled her for the following monday because Vet needed to go out of town. I wasn't happy but I understand things come up. So Monday comes and I was there at 9 am sharp per their request. As I walked in the smell of urine was extremely strong, I didn't get to speak with Vet at drop off time so I text a pic of desired look and when I asked staff exactly what time the surgery was and if anyone would call me...they looked at me like I was crazy and that they had NO idea about time??Not trusting my gut I left her there, just because he had good reviews but sadly Willow was left in the care of the most incompetent vet practice I have ever had the horror of experiencing!!!! Thanks Warrnensville Animal Hospital for the poor customer service, lies and utter bullshit you put my poor pup & myself through!
I had an absolute horrendous experience at this establishment and will NEVER be going back ever again. I hope that this experience did not traumatize my dog for future vet experiences.
My dog is 6 months old, and has been taking a monthly treatment of simparica trio for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. I have been giving her this on a month by month basis because she is still growing and on the edge of going into a new weight class.
I had contacted this establishment because I was in need of another month's worth and my vet was closed today. Before my visit I made sure to call ahead, make sure I could come in today, along with ask if this was something that I could get. To which they responded that it could be done. I made sure to make it very clear that I needed simparica trio.
Upon entering the facility, the receptionist was friendly and I had given my name and my dog's name, and was asked to be seated so my dog could be weighed before allowing me to receive the medicine. When it was my turn, I had given my harnessed/leashed dog to the woman that came out for Daphne to get weighed. It was then I found out that my dog had to be examined first before I could get the medicine. This was news to me at this point because I was not informed of this prior.
After about 20-30 minutes go by and my growing concern, I can hear my dog barking in the back, to which she does not do unless she is left alone. I assume at this point she was crated for whatever reason?
At this point the receptionist had called me up to the desk and gave me medicine, to which it was not what I had asked for. She tried to give me a 6-month supply of heartworm prevention along with a topical flea / tick prevention. I requested what I originally asked for and this is when I was told they did not have what I wanted.
At this point, annoyed, irritated and anxious, I had asked for my dog back to leave because it was clear they did not able to help me with what I was told they could do. About 1 hr has passed by this time.
THE WORST PART IS
They bring my dog out on a rope choker collar/leash......
They had taken off my dogs harness and put a choke collar on her without my permission. At this point I was furious because i do not believe in these type of things at is is inhumane; as my dog was obviously choking and EXTREMELY anxious.
I had to sit on the ground in the waiting room as everyone watched me put my harness back on my very anxious dog. At this point I was furious and overwhelmingly upset.
I then left.
I will never be returning here and advise others to show caution when handing your pet over to know exactly what is...
Read moreI did not have a positive experience here. I will say upfront, the provided care for my dog ended up being okay. However, the service surrounding this was far less than great.
I went to this vet as a new customer. Scheduling an appointment was sloppy. I called into the vet, was placed on hold (this is okay), but then the receptionist kept coming back to my call thinking I was someone else (uhh, what's going on?). When I finally was connected, the lady complained and made comments about their day, their clients, and other dogs. Call ended with me scheduling an appointment.
Right before my appointment (a couple of days later), I called back in to verify that my dog's information was sent from my previous vet and that all was set for the appointment. Turns out my appointment wasn't noted (urgh, but this happens). Because I lived close enough, I was able to work with their schedule by coming in immediately.
I get to the office, and filling out the forms took too long and the process was unorganized. After telling the receptionist for the 100th time who I was, who my dog was, and what service my dog needed, I was able to meet the doctor.
I left my dog there to get checked out. When I came back to pick her up the process for retrieving my dog and connecting with the doctor was also a lengthy process. Other customers piled into the office and were also mostly waiting around. The 2 ladies up front were mostly running around and repeatedly asking who was who and what was needed.
In short, there's a ton of work that needs to be done to ensure a smooth process. A vet experience is more than the care that the dog receives. It is also important for the vet to answer phone calls, follow-up on messages left, properly schedule and handle appointments, and ensure that customers aren't repeatedly expressing information about their dog...
