I have been going to this salon for years and have spent thousands of dollars between manicures, pedicures, waxings, and the like for both me and my daughter. I have recommended Bee Nails to many of my family and friends as well. The owner Irene is there every time I am there no matter what day it is. She is always very sweet and so accommodating. I love the women there as well. I know them because I am always there. I had ONE problem in many years with a gel manicure and they fixed it and redid my nails at no expense to me. They had changed their product and it wasn't working. While it was a pain sitting there again for over an hour, at least they did the right thing in not making me pay for their mistake.
2 weeks ago, I was talked into getting the powder/dip manicure - which is more money "because it lasts longer". I typically get a gel manicure. I was told by Bee Nails and by so many of my friends and relatives that it definitely lasts at least 3 -4 weeks and I should try it. I decided to try it. Needless to say, my nails began chipping (which should never happen with powder/dip) and were rough and cracked from the start. My nails were not prepped properly and my cuticles weren't even trimmed. I should have gone back immediately. I got busy and ended up waiting 2 weeks when I noticed that my nails were now lifting and almost all of them were cracked and chipped. I couldn't take it any longer so I went in to have them fix the problem.
When I walked in the other owner, Joy looked at my nails. I had never seen or met the other owner, Joy until today. She was so rude and not helpful at all. She told me that it was "normal" and that powder/dip only lasts two weeks. That is not what anyone else says about powder/dip - including Bee Nails employees. I even googled it to see how long they should last and everyone says at least 3-4 weeks. If they only last 2 weeks then why would anyone get this service for more money than a gel manicure? My gel manicures last 2-3 weeks when done correctly.
I sat down to have my nails done again (not happy to have to take this time out of my day when I shouldn't have had to do this again for at least another week or two or more) and this time they were done very differently. My nail bed was prepped, my cuticles were trimmed, and the entire service was very different than the first time. I told Joy that this was not the experience I had the first time 2 weeks ago. She just nodded her head. At the end of my service, Joy had the audacity to charge me full price for the service less a whooping $3.00 - wow big deal. I told her that I was not happy with only a $3.00 discount and that my service today was vastly different than the one I had 2 weeks ago. She didn't care at all. She kept repeating herself that they only last 2 weeks. That is BS. She knew I was mad as did Irene but I feel like Irene had no say against Joy's word.
I am extremely disappointed in the service I received today from the owner, Joy. She should continue to stay away and not come into the salon. This is not the way you should treat your long-time customers when a problem arises. I am very offended and feel as though Joy has zero interest in keeping her customers happy, unlike Irene. Not a way for a small business to be treating people during tough economic times especially. I now need to look for another nail salon with better service and customer service in the area. What a shame. It makes me sad to write this review as I really do like Irene and the other women. Maybe if more people didn't go there, they would learn their lesson. Maybe they have enough business and don't need any more. I don't know I am just so disappointed that I had to take the time to write...
Read moreThis was by far the most rushed nail salon experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the staff hurried me to pick a color. One of them came over and quickly started suggesting multiple shades, almost like she was in a rush to go somewhere. I wanted to take my time and choose my own color, but she insisted, saying “This one is pretty, just do this,” and took the samples away. I’ve never been to a salon where they choose the color for you like that—and I didn’t even like the one she pushed on me.
The nail work itself was terrible. The cuticle trimming was so rough and painful that I ended up bleeding, and the polish was uneven and bumpy. I’ve never seen such poor quality at a nail salon.
I honestly can’t understand how they were in such a rush. Both the pedicure and gel manicure were finished in just 40 minutes. I’ve been to many nail salons, and I’ve never seen anyone try to finish everything...
Read moreCame in for a mani & pedi withoutan appointmentbut was accepted right away. The inside is nice and clean, and they have a great polish selection. I received probably the quickest no frills pedicure ever.... I basically felt like I soaked my feet and got toes painted. The technician talked most of the time to the technician right next to her, which normally I wouldnt care at all, but they were making fun of another customer. It was so obvious too, without me understanding a word of the language. The manicure was equally rushed, and 2 days later all but one nail chipped. I can forgive a sloppy paint job, but making fun an unsuspecting customer ruined my...
