Listen, I hate giving bad reviews because I know how hard it is in this economy right now and I know how it feels to be in a minimum wage job.
First off, i really like this place because it's conveniently near my house. So if I'm making something and I'm missing an ingredient, I can drive 10 minutes down the road and pick it up without any issue. I'm always shopping the clearance section and the prices are a lot better than other places in the area.
I've never had any issues before and everyone's always been nice. But today I wasn't as happy with my experience as I should have been. I don't expect much just scan the groceries, bag them , and take my money. I don't expect you to make small talk or even have a conversation with me. Just be nice if you do have to say something to me is all I ask.
With that said, I literally just got out of this location 5 minutes ago and I walk up to register two and there's a large man, I believe his name was Rob. It wasn't very easy to see his name tag. Rob seemed like he might have been tired or had a bad day. Whatever, i get it. He scanned my groceries, no big deal. And as he's scanning them, they're like slowly piling up at the other end of the scanner. No big deal. When he's done he'll bag them I thought. So I'm standing there waiting for him to finish and get my total so I can pay him and he looks up at me and he orders me to start bagging and I was surprised so I was like "Oh no. I'm so sorry" and started bagging Like I'm a damn employee and then I stopped and was like " wait. I don't work here?!" To myself. And because I'm bagging I'm getting in the way of people trying to leave the store. So I'll move out of the way and then another person will have to get by and it keeps on happening over and over. I don't understand why their groceries are being bagged by their cashier. But for some reason Rob doesn't want to bag his groceries. So I get annoyed and I just say " well I'm sorry, I guess I'm the new grocery bagger" and that's when he tries to take back his order he barked at me to start bagging and starts trying to say "well people need to start getting used to Us not having plastic bags because we're going to do away with them" and so then I said "okay Well if it's a problem that for you to bag my groceries then I can just stick them in my cart and I will just carry them out myself" . He tells me no and starts like shoving my shit into the bags. And then picks it up and tells me I need to be careful because I'M ripping the bag. When he's the one just shoving shit into the bags aggressively because I made a passive aggressive comment about him not doing it himself. I would understand if you guys were like Aldi's or Save-A-Lots where you just stick everything in the cart and then the customer has to walk to the side and bag the groceries themselves and they also have to pay for bags. But he was straight up just looking at me like I was absolutely insane for not doing the other half of his job. There's better ways to approach that than just ordering people to do your job for you. He could have said "hey, Just to let you know before I start scanning your items We are actually discontinuing the use of plastic bags so if you want to purchase some bags we have them over there or if you have your own bags then I can put your groceries in your bags for you. If you don't, no big deal. You're just going to have to stick them in your cart and then load them into your car loose. Is that okay?" You see how that informs the customer that you can't bag the groceries for them or use the plastic bags fully stocked 5 inches away from you without forcing the customer to do your job for you?
Don't worry I will still come back but I will not be allowing Rob to ever help me again.
Thank you for listening to...
Read moreGood location, very clean environment, yet new staff that do not seem to have been trained. I reached out to three different employees seeking shaved coconut (a staple that is found in any other store in the baking aisle alongside chocolate chips, walnut pieces, etc.). I could not find any and when asking an employee, I got a "I don't know", with them going on their way instead of the next obvious thing you would expect them to do and that is to help me find out where they are (by asking a manager or someone who knows more than they do). One young man was stocking in the aisle where I was and after I got the "I don't know" he immediately went back to his stocking - obviously the customer seeking help wasn't as important as getting those cans on the shelf. New business tip: I know getting new staff on board is a challenge, but management needs to train staff if not in the store contents and location of items, but at least the customer service staple of doing what you can to help out the customer. Ignoring the customer and going about your business when the person who you rely upon to fund your paycheck is left to fend for yourself is a major no-no. Finally at the check stand I told the cashier that I was disappointed I couldn't find shaved coconut in the baking aisle, he smiled, handed me the receipt and proudly proclaimed that I had saved $2, and I should have a nice day! (obviously didn't hear a word about my complaint about the coconut). Been getting lots of flyers and email about coupons and huge specials at this store - I have the feeling this was the first and only time it will see my shadow. I put a lot of weight on how employees treat their customers and well, this place got a...
Read moreI shopped grocery outlet Bucks County and Philadelphia. I’ve noticed that the new store in Jamison has higher prices than the other ones. I tried calling the store and nobody could explain this to me.. Manager on duty couldn’t answer any of the questions I was asking. I noticed that a lot of things are 3 cents or more on some products. The one cat food I buy was $.29 a can different in price than the other stores. Same expiration dates and everything. So I probably will not be shopping at this one. That’s only some of the items I know of. Shop the Warminster store. Always good bargains. The owners and the staff are terrific. I always feel like family...
