My In Laws and I were in the market for Patio Furniture for our Condo in Florida. We decided this weekend to do some browsing at different stores in the area. Without naming the stores, the inventory was the same at each location. Nothing seemed to stand out. Until our last stop of the weekend.
Our final stop was to Porch and Patio in Warwick. It was extremely busy, being a Sunday and early Summer season with the heat seeming to be a motivator for shopping. We were greeted by a friendly young man, Michael. We told him what we were looking for and he set us in the direction of options of interest to us. He also stated that the store was busy and he will be back with us as soon as he could. Understanding the nature of the business, we thanked him and were off to shop. We made it to the 2nd floor and met one of the owners, Carla who was very friendly and extremely helpful. She was with customers at the time, but took a moment to answer a few questions. We thanked her and continued on. There are 3 floors of beautiful furniture and the store was not lacking in options!! We took our time browsing through the store. This is a beautiful locations and anyone interested should keep an afternoon clear for shopping here!! My In-Laws took pictures of pieces they were interested in purchasing. We met with Michael again once he was finished with the customers he was working with. He assisted us with our purchase order and we were extremely impressed with his knowledge of the furniture, and his professionalism for such a young man. He did his best to get us a satisfactory delivery and shipping date to our Condo. It definitely took time Sunday but it was well worth it in the end.
What I would really like people to know is this: if you are shopping for quality furniture and willing to pay for quality pieces, we strongly recommend Porch and Patio in Warwick. It was great to see a business as busy as they were on Sunday, especially in this economy. Also, expect to spend some time here as the process of choosing the right furniture, fabric and accessories to fit your home will take some time. I had no idea there was as much involved in the purchasing process as there is. My Mother-in-Law sat in every chair and on every glider in the store! She had more fun wandering around and browsing than a kid in a toy store!
Enjoy the experience and take your time. It will be well...

My husband and I went to Porch and Patio the first week of May to see Polywood items (it was listed as one of their showrooms). We had an idea of the items we were going to purchase but wanted to see them in person, sit in them, etc.
One of their sale reps, Gina, showed us the different items and then reported she could place our order for us. We mentioned how we had a tight timeline do to a Memorial Day weekend party and wanted to make sure their timeline would be similar to Polywoods (4-5 business days). She reported that their listed timeline isn't accurate and it would be a little bit longer than that.
After placing the order we followed up a little over a week later to ask for the tracking information. Gina let us know the lead time was 2-4 weeks but didn't share additional order details.
Almost 2-weeks later we reached out again and asked for the tracking information. Gina didn't respond with the tracking information and just provided the ETA date (6/7). Needless to say we didn't receive our furniture until 6/16 - a month + from our order date.
We loved the furniture but there was one item we wanted to exchange for a different color. Polywood has an amazing return policy so I contacted them directly. They said they are more than happy to process a return to Porch and Patio - they often process returns to third party sellers.
When I reached out to Gina she reported our order was special and they can't process a return. I asked that she reach out to a manager. She reported that the owner wasn't able to accept an exchange or return (this was after another follow up on my end).
We spent over $9,000 on our purchases from Porch and Patio. It's disappointing that there is nothing they are willing to do to ensure customers are happy with their purchase. Also, there was nothing "special" about our order - no custom details, etc.
Porch and Patio definitely doesn't live up to their company's mission posted on their website: "We value our customers and make their satisfaction our top priority."
If you are ordering Polywood I would 100% order from Polywood directly. You WILL receive your item within the estimated time posted on their website - for us it was 4 business days. In addition, you will have amazing customer service that allows for returns...
Read moreThis business has some really off putting and borderline fraudulent business practices. Here is just a few Added a $75 delivery charge when credit card was run for the 50% deposit even though we were picking up cushions - fraudulent The invoice noted several times (in print and added handwritten) that order is not subject to cancellation due to cushions being special order = totally false - the color was solid light green - clearly not something special Invoice says not subject to refund, store credit only - message - once you give them cash - they keep it They called us to pick up the cushions, we drove 45 mins from our home - they requested the remaining 50% of invoice - but then cushions were not in the store. We asked them to either deliver to our house or refund the $75 - they refused When cushions finally came in, I went into the showroom, the owner looked at me with a dismissive and distrustful look. I said I was here to pick up cushions, her rude response " well did you pay for it" implying I was a thief. The young grandson who helped me was nice so hopefully rudeness and sleazy business practices does not carry on to the next generation I got my cushions, ran out, and never looked back. Buyers beware - recommend buy on internet - to avoid interacting with these kind of people One more thing: this retail establishment is not handicap accessible - this is consistent with the disrepect the owner has for people.
Just got a response from Porch & Patio claiming we got the wrong store and that we did not do any business with them. I have the invoice from Porch & Pation Casual Living to prove that we purchased 8 cushions on April 15th, invoice number 58896, Gina was the salesperson. The address on the invoice is 50 Maple Street, Warick. I have two credit card receipts proving payment to Porch & Patio Casual Living. I think I have the...
