I feel like it's hard to mess up hibachi and it always feels rushed because they sit separate groups at the same time. I had to close the bar tab and by the time I got to the table, everyone else had ordered so I felt like I was holding everyone up. They give you so much food. It is really delicious. Although I'm confused on some of the upcharges. For example, I asked for the fried rice which appeared to be an upcharge of $9.00 on my bill but everyone at the table also got the fried rice...so why was I charged? Almost like I paid for everyone to eat it? The same with the garlic noodles...it was an upcharge that I turned down but still somehow got some on my plate because someone else paid? That's probably why someone walked out at another table without paying their bill because of the charges for side dishes for other people sitting at your table. I'm still confused why I was charged $9.00 for something that the whole table ate. Aside from that, the food is really good...just be willing to spend around $40-$50 each. Also, I didn't see a sushi menu but the sign outside said it was a sushi restaurant...maybe that has since changed and they just haven't updated?

Listen up I am always the first to complain about something!! Not here, if you’ve never been GO!! This us the perfect place for VALENTINES DAY!! Super for a Surprise Birthday dinner or any day. The food was unbelievably delicious and you get pwhat you pay for. Sits ten ppl to a cook who makes your food for you and serves you with delightfully intoxicating moves. Ask for Isaac he is amazing and top of the line. Isaac had a great sense of humor and is a very talented young man. The music that was playing on a Saturday night was perfect mix of 80s old school dance. I loved it and I will return. Perfect Jem super refreshing I’m telling you if you’re sick of the same old things over and over Shogon is the wake up and refresh you needed. 5 stars because I couldn’t give them TEN!!! Thank you Isaac and staff for not making us feel rushed we enjoyed our dinner.. ❤️

This place was THE WORST Hibachi place i've ever had in my life. The prices were high for what they were giving with the plate. This is the first time I had to pay an extra $10 for the fried rice. It was $39 for the chicken and steak combo. They gave me half of a chicken breast to top it off. For $50 in total for the combo, they shouldn't be so cheap with the food. I'm not even going to get into the noodles or vegetables. I'm not giving it any stars for the food because it didn't deserve any. I will not be going back ever again. The sad part is I had higher expectations from what I heard about the place. P.S don't order the shrimp tempora because it's not the sushi version it's just shrimp in a batter deep fried. Again it was the ABSOLUTE WORSE Hibachi ever. No saki either

Yesterday a few friends and I went to dinner at Shogun to celebrate a friends birthday. This was by far the WORST experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The waitress was great, however, I found a piece of hair in my food. When I brought this to the waitresses attention she said she would speak with her manager and come right back. A manager comes over with rage in his voice already, with the plate of food in hand, places the plate of food back in front of me and says he does not see any hair in my food. I turn on my flash light and point out the piece of hair. He then replies that his cooks wear hats so it cannot be an employs hair so he doesn’t know what I want to do. He then implied it could be my hair. The hair was black. I have light brown hair. Overall his customer service was HORRIBLE. I’m a restaurant manager myself and I would NEVER speak to a customer that way! Not once did he offer an apology nor did he offer to remake my food. Finally, the bill comes & my dinner (that was thrown away) was still on the bill. I asked the waitress to speak to the manager who was now sitting down on his phone drinking a beer! When he comes to the table I asked why was I still being charged for a meal I didn’t get to eat. His response was he didn’t like my attitude so he wasn’t going to work with me. After arguing he eventually took the food off of the bill while talking horrible about me and my friends to his staff. Blurted out loud he no longer wants me in his restaurant like I did something wrong! There was hair in my food!!!!! This was my first & LAST time ever going here! The waitress knew her manager was wrong seems she apologized multiple times for his behavior and our experience! If I could give this place zero stars based on the managers actions I would! Shame on him talking to customers like that and shame on Shogun if they don’t take action in his behavior, maybe don’t allow him to drink on shift if he can’t...

Last night, I went to eat here with 2 friends. We had call ahead seating for 6:30 and were not seated until 7:45. The bar area was way overcrowded, so we waited in the car for the first half of our wait. Once we sat down, we were asked for our orders right away. We ordered hibachi, and the soup and salad came pretty quickly. After that, we sat for over an hour without one single visit from a server and without the chef showing up at the table. Meanwhile, a service man in pajama pants (with 2 other men) were attempting to fix the heat which we learned was not working. We complained several times about being cold, and eventually were told it was not working. Everyone at my table as well many people at other tables ate dinner with winter coats on. It was something like 10 degrees outside last night, and the thermostat inside Sho Gun was reading 52 degrees. When I told the hostess it was cold she said “we have 3 men working on it downstairs.” And I expressed again how uncomfortable it was. She repeated herself (snarkily)… “there are 3 men working on it downstairs.” I then said they really should do something for their guests. Her response was “and what is it that you suggest we do?” Sorry, that’s not my job to figure out… And there was not even an apology. When the bill eventually came, it was dropped in front of us, with no exchange… again no apology. It honestly was a very strange experience and I could not believe the lack of hospitality that came from a place I and my family loved going to for years. On the up side, my friends and I had more laughs over the experience and it’s a night we will never forget.

Sidenote - The best service we got was from the bartender… thank God! (I had to get up after being seated to order drinks for my table while my...

DYSFUNCTIONAL! STAY AWAY!

Abbreviated version: The hibachi is good but the customer service was a fail, it got so cold in the dining room that you could see your breath, the staff showed no empathy to and couldn't care less the only thing they knew how to do is take an order. We asked for a manager and and was told there was none. We wanted out of there so badly at the end that we didn't realize until we got home they automatically added gratuity which is shameful especially after the worst dining experience any of us have ever had.

It's been six days since this all occurred and I am still trying to wrap my head around the avalanche of epic failures that occurred and believe it or not there is so much more that went wrong but this review is already long enough. You just can't make this up‍

Here are more details: Made a 7pm reservation for my daughters birthday dinner well 7 came and was a distant memory after several complaints we asked what's to point of making a reservation the same hostess who took my reservation on the phone tried to claim they do not take reservations, people that were walk-ins got seated before us finally seated at almost 8pm. We asked for a cooked sushi appetizer that was on the menu but they weren't making sushi that night, we realized the heat was out as we waited almost another hour for the cook who arrived as we were standing up to walk out and at this point everyone in the dining room was bundling up. It was 48 degrees in the dining room when we left. I am shocked that there are not a mountain of bad reviews from that...
