I RECENTLY VISITED THIS LOCATION YESTERDAY EVENING TIME & EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT UNTIL I GOT TO THE REGISTER & PROCEEDED TO PLACE MY ITEMS WHICH IS ALL FOOD ITEMS THAT I NICELY PLACED IN ORDER ON THE BELT SO I CAN PAY FOR MY FOOD JUST FOR IT TO BE RUNG UP AND THROWN BACK INTO THE CART. I KINDLY & RESPECTFULLY ASKED THE YOUNG MAN WHO’S NAME I WAS TOLD BY THE MANGER HIS NAME IS RON/RONALD STORE NUMBER 14 I DON’T KNOW IF THATS TRUE OR NOT BUT MOVING FORWARD I ASKED RON TO PLEASE STOP THROWING MY FOOD IN THE BASKET HE PROCEEDED TO STARE AT ME WITH A FUNNY LOOK ON MR. RONS FACE AS IF I SAID SOMETHING WRONG SO I PROCEEDED TO TELL MR. RON IF HE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING OR IF HE CAN’T COMPREHEND WITH WHAT I AM SAYING TO PLEASE CALL A MANAGER OVER TO HELP. SO MR. RON PROCEEDS TO SHOUT & TELL ME TO “WATCH MY MOUTH” & PROCEEDED TO CURSE AT ME AND CONTINUED TO BE DISRESPECTFUL EVEN AFTER A MANAGER TOLD HIM TO LEAVE THE REGISTERS HE STILL PROCEEDED TO CURSE AND BE VERY DISRESPECTFUL. I WAS ONLY GIVEN AN APOLOGY FROM THE SECURITY OFFICER ON DUTY WHO UNDERSTOOD MY ISSUE/CONCERN. I AM A LOCAL RESIDENT & HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER TO THIS STORE SINCE IT WAS BUILT & I DO NOT APPRECIATE HOW I WAS TREATED. THIS IS MY FOOD THAT I AM PAYING FOR THAT I HAVE TO GO HOME & PROVIDE IT TO MY FAMILY. YOU CAN’T JUST BE THROWING ANYONE’S FOOD AROUND & NOT HANDLING IT WITH PROPER CARE. IM NOT SURE IF MR RON RECEIVED THE PROPER TRAINING FOR THE JOB ESPECIALLY IF MR.RON IS WORKING WITH CUSTOMERS & HANDLING FOOD BECAUSE THAT WAS A COMPLETE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE CUSTOMER SERVICE WISE & PROPER FOOD HANDLING. YOU WOULD THINK SHOPPING FOR GROCERIES SHOULDN’T BE ONE OF YOUR WORSE GROCERY SHOPPING EXPERIENCE. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE RUDE DISRESPECTFUL EMPLOYEES LIKE MR RON WORKING ANYWHERE NEAR CUSTOMERS NOR HANDLING FOOD.I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY EXPERIENCE & I HOPE NO OTHER CUSTOMER HAS TO EXPERIENCE THIS MOVING FORWARD BECAUSE OF MY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE WITH MR. RON I WILL NOT BE RETURNING & SHOPPING AT THIS...
Read moreI will always shop at Aldi, especially while living DC where grocery costs are high overall. I'll keep shopping here even though it's the worst Aldi I've been to because it's the Aldi closest to my house. This location has poor customer service and is very crowded every time I go.
Towards the beginning of the pandemic, the staff took building capacity seriously by having someone monitor how many people could come inside. In past few months, however, you can come and go as you please. This Aldi is busy most of the times I've shopped here (1.5 years), so prepare for crowded aisles. In addition, the store typically has two registers open at a time, so lines run halfway down the store. This is not a grocery store you go to if you want to run in and run out. The cashiers commonly ring my groceries up wrong (adding the wrong quantity of a product or charging me the same price for all canned goods even if I have a few different ones). They may do it to shave a few seconds off so they can deal with the lines of customers faster. Since products are inexpensive, it's not a huge deal, but it's still poor customer service. The cashiers I've had, especially in recent months, spend their time chatting with another co-worker while they ring me up.
Again, I'll keep shopping here because of the low prices, but the customer service is bad, even by...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying: I love Aldi. My last job was in Texas and the town I was in had one built. This place kept me full at a low price. Their produce is amazing, their meats are superb, they pay their employees well, and they even have chairs for the cashiers to sit at (because standing for too long is ridiculous).
"But James, if you love Aldi so much, why would you give them just 2 stars?"
Well, let me tell ya. I talked this place up to a close friend for months.
"Dude, we gotta to Aldi. It's amazing. Fantastic. Wonderful."
So after 6 months of pestering we set off.
I walked in the door and thought "Oh. My. God. What the heck happened to this place?"
Now maybe they were getting restocked that day I walked in but the place was a wreck. They were out of a lot of things (even hot dogs), and it was so messy - empty boxes, the floor didn't seem clean, a literal rotting watermelon.
I was ashamed and my friend wasn't impressed. His first Aldi experience was nothing like my own. It was the complete opposite. We bought a few things and then headed to Safeway across the street to get the rest.
I now get made fun of.
"James, let's go to Aldi. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
There's room for improvement here and if I ever return to this location and I see it, I'll be sure to write...
