Royal Rooster Carryout — Restaurant in Washington

Normally I hate leaving negative comments but for the first time I was really disappointed. I ordered off GrubHub and the pictures made my mouth water just thinking about how good this sandwich was going to be. What I got was a very different story (pictures posted because "pics or it didn't happen)

Instead of the nice sandwich pictured, I got a thin fried chicken breast on a hoagie and a sad strip of plastic cheese. I expected for a most popular item that it would have been better and though it says honey butter they either missed putting it on as there was not a hint of honey nor butter, or the sauce is tasteless. And the fries had either been cooked in old oil or left to sit too long.

I would not order...

The chicken sandwich I had here was outrageously good! Was good enough that I will go out of my way to stop by here next time I'm in DC. Also the owner was really great. I look forward to meeting him again. We had a lovely conversation while I ate my super tasty chicken sandwich. I got the butter crispy fried or something like that, I can't remember. Next time I think I'll just get a straight up fried chicken with lettuce tomato and mayonnaise and I'm sure it...

Lately I have been constantly craving Ethiopian food. To my surprise, this place is a few minutes away from my apartment but I never knew about it. I finally don’t have to drive all the way to U street to get some injera. The owner, Ephrem has been nothing but exceptional since day one. The food tastes awesome and it reminds me of my grandma’s cooking from back home.
