First off, it moved so if you discovered it by someone's blog chances are the address is no longer valid. GOOGLE needs to update their address too! It is located at a new nature Parks and Rec site directly across the street from Rock Creek Elementary where the Farmers Market is held. Plenty of parking there too! Its basically brand new. Trails are located towards the back of the lot with maps and signs. Once on a trail keep a look out up above for directional signs to lead you to The Gnome trail. Its not far from the lot actually. Up hill a little bit once there the trail is pretty easy-to-use with kids, even littles holding hands. We had a great time, so many gnomes hiding so keep a keen eye out to spot them. Most people were great about keeping distance, wearing masks and you can bring your furry friends too! Address: 25700 Maple Valley Black Diamond Rd SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038

As of today, 2.21.20, the Google Maps directions take you up a private road and would have you crashing through dense brush on private property to reach the middle of the trail loop. Not advisable. We parked at the entrance to the Henry Ridge Natural Area and hiked over to the trail. It took us a little more than 30 minutes of steady hiking to GET to the gnome trail. The Gnome Trail itself is great. My 3.5 year old was delighted. It is not a short hike by toddler standards, especially after the hike to reach it; and it is fairly steep. Totally doable though. It took my increasingly tired toddler more than an hour to do the loop, and that was with us hustling him along because the sun was setting. Then we had to trek back. Overall, a lovely hike, but if you bring young kids, prepare for stops for rests and bring snacks and water.

Fun trail to hike with kids. Easy distance (about a mile or so). Recommended parking side-street is maybe SE 260th CT and 234th Ave SE. Gnomes are fun to see, but not really earth shattering. Kids are entertained a bit but not enthralled. There are maybe 100 gnomes along the trail, of various sizes and shapes. I've never seen a gnome-filled trail/forest, so it's certainly novel. I think you can bring your own gnome and leave it strategically placed somewhere. Hike took about an hour tops, if that.

The gnome trail is awesome! Look for hundreds of hidden gnomes in the heart of Maple Valley, WA at the "Legacy Site / Farmer's Market." The trail is accessible to most, with a steep hill at the begining. To find the trail, go to the back of the Farmer's Market parking lot and look for signs for the "Legacy Loop." The gnome trail splits off from the Legacy Loop. The total loop will take about 15 minutes, more if you try to find all the gnomes. Visit often enough and you may have to take on a gnome name or "gnome...
