I lost the diamond in my engagement ring which belonged to my fiance's great grandmother. I was worried about having work done to it because it's so old and is a family heirloom. I had taken two other rings to Washington Coin & Jewelry (through Brown Jewelers in Sullivan whose jeweler is at Washington Coin & Jewelry) and was pleased with the work. One ring I only had cleaned and re-sized, another needed cleaned and a replacement peridot that had been lost. I bought a pair of earrings for my wife a couple years ago for Christmas. Was told by one of the employees the earrings were white gold with 1/4 carrot diamond chip in them. Unfortunately my wife lost one of them. A couple days ago I took the one earring I had left (along with other gold jewelry) to a pawn shop. The employee of the pawn shop did not take the earring saying it was just sterling silver and was not even a real diamond. I paid $90 for these at the jewelry store. I would think it would be against the law for them to lie to me telling me I was getting something I wasn't. I could have just went to Walmart and paid $20 for the same earrings. This is the best jeweler I have ever found. You always get back what you take in, for example diamonds etc. If you are days late from picking up whatever you dropped off to be fixed or cleaned it is always there when you remember or can get back there.
